Fans are waiting eagerly for the return of The Blacklist Season 2 as the mid-season finale aired a month ago. Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington – played by James Spader – is nowhere close to Berlin, even though the makers had hinted at the duo coming face to face in Season 2. Like always, the fans were stranded with numerous questions during the mid-season finale and even though the next episode won’t air till February, rumors regarding the plot have started spreading.
Initial speculations suggest that Red will be frisked away / kidnapped by his enemies and fans are sure that he will neither try to escape nor struggle, in a bid to get closer to his enemy and uncover greater details about the person / organization. Knowing Red, this is probably what he will do, and it will not be the first time too! Ron Perlman – of Hellboy and Sons of Anarchy fame – is the antagonist in this episode.
This might get Red into greater trouble, although, without official confirmation, we cannot put a finger on the actual circumstances and their results. Viewers need to be patient for now as we are doing our best to keep you posted on the details.
In the previous episode viewers saw a worker casually chance upon Liz’s hideout, where she was keeping Tom – played by Tyan Eggold – prisoner. After Liz had shown him her badge, he left the scene, but we see the man returning at the end of the episode, and Tom was able to grab the man.
Liz arrived at the scene in time to watch Tom kill the man, hoping that she would set him free in case a search party came looking for the missing man. When The Blacklist Season 2 resumes, the dead dock worker’s wife files a missing person’s report, and Liz name pops up in the investigation. Will Liz be able to dodge the authorities this time?
When The Blacklist returns in February, it will feature stand alone episodes that have no direct consequences on the central plot. Fans will have to wait a bit longer to find out the connection between Red and Liz. The situation is getting all the more confusing as Tom faces Red towards the end of the episode and lives to tell the tale!
More on this as The Blacklist Season 2 returns. The Blacklist aired on September 2013 and has gained popularity over the years. Viewers are currently confused about the relationship shared by the protagonists Red and Liz and were hoping that Season 2 would throw light on the situation. So far, we have no confirmations!
