Fans and viewers of the long-running American sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” were dismayed of the twists at the series finale of Season 8 of the show which aired on May 7 that had the two major relationships strained.
Now, fans can hardly wait for the airing of Season 9 to find out whether those two major relationships would be mended again.
Both the Sheldon-Amy and Leonard-Penny relationships went nearly down the drain at the end of “The Big Bang Theory” Season 8. But fans and loyal viewers of the show believe that the ninth season shall focus on the mending of ties of the series’ two key relationships.
Focus on relationships
Series creator Steve Molaro disclosed that the breakup of Sheldon and Amy will definitely be discussed in Season 9 of “The Big Bang Theory.” But he refused to give any other details if the pair would ever get back again, notes The Christian Today.
Molaro simply hinted that Sheldon is clearly fond of Amy so he thinks that they will continue to be on speaking terms. He added that Sheldon is so fond of his former girlfriend so something is really going to happen between them sooner than later.
As far as the relationship of Leonard and Penny is concerned, the show creator said that it will continue to be strained as they drive towards Las Vegas to tie the knot. Leonard’s confession to Penny that he kissed another woman really affected Penny but they still continue with their journey and marriage plans.
The show creator said that Leonard and Penny are in a very interesting place and fans will find out what happens when they get there come Season 9.
In addition to the two major relationships in the sitcom, Raj will also have to deal with a relationship problem of his own after professing his love to Emily even if he was already planning to breakup with her in an apparent change of heart.
Molaro disclosed that Raj will have to come to terms with Emily and they will have to deal with a lot of issues for the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Howard and Bernadette were not able to dispatch Stuart in their home. Whether they will continue to live peacefully or not will be known come Season 9.

“The Big Bang Theory” focuses on the lives of four lovable geeks and the four women who love them.
There are hints that Lucy played by Kate Micucci, shall return to the show for Raj but Molaro refuse to divulge the details. Instead, he actually insinuated that Emily may also be great for Raj.
It’s just all about relationship crap now. What happened to science and the nerdy stuff?
This show’s been going downhill ever since Bernadette & Amy were introduced.

Emily had relationship issues with Penny in one episode – then nothing. Let’s get Emily into the mix with the other girls. That way Raj can can explore his insecurities about his relationship more effectively with the others, and his decisions will have more impact on the group dynamic.
I really want Emily to be back in season 9. She is the best for raj. It would be if she doesn’t appear in the next season. And I always love the part of raj n Emily. Please let raj and Emily be in a relationship again in the next season and in the whole season.
It would be sad if Emily doesn’t appear again in the next season. And if possible more parts given to her and raj in the next season.
