Sheldon, played by Jim Parsons, really love his girlfriend Amy, played by Mayim Bialik, in the long-running sitcom “The Big Bang Theory.”
But he also wants to spend time doing what he likes every now and then which he cannot do when Amy is around. The clever schmuck that he is, Sheldon will hire Stuart, played by Kevin Sussman, to spend a day with Amy as he can go to a movie screening all by himself.
This is actually the synopsis of the upcoming 22nd episode of “The Big Bang Theory” Season 9 entitled “The Line Substitution Solution” to air on CBS on May 5, reports Cartermatt.
It would be interesting to find out if Sheldon’s ploy will work the way he planned it or backfire to his face. Stuart is the sort of guy who has been known over the course of the series for being lonely. So if something develops between him and Amy because of the day that they spent together under the scheme of Sheldon, then Sheldon is all to blame.
But having Stuart spending a day with Amy is surely a fairly entertaining story for fans, who wonder if Sheldon would get jealous if Stuart gets a little too close with Amy.
So much family plotline
Other than Sheldon hiring Stuart to ‘babysit’ Amy, the mother of Leonard, played by Johnny Galecki, will also be blowing into town even as his wife Penny, played by Kaley Cuoco, struggles to make a connection with her mother-in-law.
Leonard’s mother is to be played by Christine Baranski and episode 22 will be the first of two episodes where she will be appearing as a guest star. The other one will be during the Season 9 finale.
Reports also have it that Leonard’s father, to be played by Judd Hirsch, shall also be appearing in the series either on the 23rd episode or the Season 9 finale as well.
That’s in addition to previous reports that Sheldon’s mother, to be played by Laurie Metcalf, shall also be appearing in either the 23rd episode or the Season 9 finale.
It appears that the family plotline will be a major part of the show’s Season 9 finale but no specific detail has been released by CBS about it yet.
Bringing everyone again together
Meanwhile, the previous episode of “The Big Bang Theory” Season 9, entitled “The Viewing Party Combustion” that aired on April 21 was one of those episodes that brought everyone together and just played around with relationships built over the last nine years.
It was actually an ordinary episode about characters and relationships wrapped in a “Game of Thrones” wrapping because the group went on to see the latest episode of the HBO hit series, notes the Den of Geek.
The episode actually flexed one of the muscles of “The Big Bang Theory” as it allowed people who don’t usually get to share moments, to play off to each other for once.
It delve into characters rather than go for the easy “Game of Thrones” references that could have filled the whole 20 minutes.
Back in episode 20 of “The Big Bang Theory,” Sheldon’s uncontrolled blabbering causing married couple Leonard and Penny to fight.
Having been too drunk to his senses, Sheldon disclosed to Penny that Leonard has been keeping a secret bank account from her because his friend believes that Penny’s credit card debt was too much.
That surely riled up Penny and he confronted Leonard right way. As Leonard was attempting to pacify and control the emotions of his wife, Penny also confessed to her husband that she hates her job.
Because of what Sheldon did, Leonard, quite naturally, was still angry at him during the 21st episode.
