Molaro was also asked in an interview whether the engagement ring that Sheldon showed during the Season 8 finale will resurface again in the future episodes of Season 9 of “The Big Bang Theory.”
The showrunner confirmed that at some point in the near future, the engagement ring will come up again. He added that it is not going to happen immediately but they have certainly not forgotten about it.
The only question that remains is whether that engagement ring that Sheldon was holding on to during the Season 8 finale will come out during Season 9 or the next season.
But since the two are back together again, the chances of the engagement ring showing up again soon are quite high.
Although if it is Molaro who would decide, he would surely play around a bit more on the reunion of Shamy before bringing out the engagement ring again. And that is the beauty of having multiple characters on a TV sitcom as fans and viewers have plenty of things to follow.
The emergence of Meemaw in episode 14, however, is already a confirmation of Molaro’s previous hint that the engagement ring will indeed show up again in the current Season 9 of “The Big Bang Theory.”
