For its part, CBS has yet to confirm anything whether Season 10 of TV’s No. 1 comedy is going to be its last or not. After all, “The Big Bang Theory” is still the most loved comedy series on US television.
In fact, based on recent surveys, every episode of Season 9 was watched by over 20 million people in the US. So CBS would have to do a lot of evaluation and assessment before they decide to put an end to their flagship sitcom.
Actor Kunal Nayyar has also hinted that Season 10 of “The Big Bang Theory” may possibly be the last for the TV series.
In a recent interview, Nayyar said that all of them in the cast realize how lucky they are on the show and they do treasure it. He added that they are not sure if there will be another show like “The Big Bang Theory,” but one thing they know is that it is going to be special.
It was the second hint coming from the actor as immediately after the Season 9 finale of “The Big Bang Theory” in May, he was quoted as saying that the upcoming Season 10 of the sitcom is going to be the last because his contract is only good until Season 10.
In addition to Nayyar, the contracts of Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco were also up for renewal immediately after the Season 9 finale.
