Following the Season 9 finale of the American sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” on CBS last month, there have been reports going around that the upcoming Season 10 of the TV show might be its last.
According to the same reports, the main reason for the decision of the network to consider Season 10 as the last for “The Big Bang Theory” is the same as the decision of ABC more than 10 years ago to end the very popular sitcom “Friends.”
Reports have it that the three main stars of the show in Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, and Kaley Cuoco already commands a $1 million salary per episode each, which made CBS do the math and weigh its options.
However, if everything would be up to Kaley Cuoco, who plays Penny in the TV series, she says that she does not want “The Big Bang Theory” to end after Season 10.
As it is, the only thing she knows that are expiring at the end of Season 10 are her contract with the show and that of fellow co-star Johnny Galecki.
She said that she is too invested in the show to even think about seeing its end after Season 10. She also said that everyone in the cast wants to be back for “The Big Bang Theory” so that’s a good start for the show’s future.
Cuoco admitted that they may be looking into a sticky road ahead but if she has anything to do with the decision-making, she wants the show and everyone to be there much longer. She added that it is their common goal at this time, notes the Christian Today.
Penny on the limelight
There are also reports saying that Season 10 would put the limelight on Penny as she continues to struggle in her career.
Penny’s primary storyline on the show is her career and it looks like there’s more to explore in the upcoming Season 10 of “The Big Bang Theory.”
According to rumors, Penny’s mother might be introduced in Season 10. She has been mentioned countless times but her persona has not appeared yet in “The Big Bang Theory.”
For their part, Johnny Galecki, who plays Leonard, and Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon, are confident that the show and the rest of the cast are not going anywhere after Season 10, which seems to suggest that they are also willing to continue. It is not sure, however, if their commitment to the TV series is so high that they can actually agree to lower their salaries just to keep the show on the air beyond Season 10.
No Wolowitz baby
One of the plotlines of “The Big Bang Theory” Season 10 is the current pregnancy of Bernadette so fans are hoping that a new baby would be born soon that would further enliven the already lively sitcom.
But showrunner Steve Molaro confirmed in a recent interview that fans would not be seeing a Wolowitz baby soon in Season 10 of “The Big Bang Theory.”
Molaro said that they plan to take an unhurried approach in the pregnancy of Bernadette so her baby with Howard may take its time growing in her womb come Season 10, reports Breathecast.
Bernadette first disclosed about her pregnancy in an episode of Season 9 entitled “The Valentino Submergence.” Just as she was about to tell Howard their love child, he got bitten by a rabbit bathing in their bathtub, so he was rushed to the hospital to get a treatment.
But it wasn’t long before Howard finally learned about Bernadette’s pregnancy. A few episodes later, Howard told his friends how ecstatic yet anxious he was about being a dad.
He also shared to his friends that he was scared of the thought of not being able to provide for all their baby’s needs. It turns out later that Howard was actually left by his father while he was still a toddler so he does not want that to happen to his own kid.

I really hopes the movie continues. It is a really cool movie.
