Despite some rumors that the tenth season of “The Big Bang Theory” could be the show’s last, the cast is obviously having a lot of fun recording the new episodes. We’ve just recently seen a new picture from the show’s set, showing Sheldon, Leonard and Amy together. The picture was posted by Kaley Cuoco, the actress behind Penny’s character.
All in all, it seems the mood is good on the show’s set, and the actors are as excited as fans themselves for the new season. We’re going to see the conclusion of some interesting story arcs, including the aftermath of season 9’s finale, something which many fans are curious to see. Reports indicate that the season will continue right where the previous one left off, so we’re going to see exactly what happened the day after that fiasco. That’s also a great way to open the season, as it pretty much guarantees some humorous episodes.
New characters will be introduced to the show during this season as well, most notably Penny’s family. This will apparently be a challenging moment for Penny herself, as there are some lingering issues between her and some of them in the background. It’s very likely that the season will show her resolving those problems once and for all, and there will likely be at least a few episodes focused on that. Most notably, we expect that the relationship between Penny and her brother Randall will be a major point of conflict.
We’ve been hearing about Penny’s mother for quite a while now, and finally getting to see her on the show is going to be a huge moment for many fans. Reports claim that there were plans to bring her on the screen in the past too, but things didn’t work out back then. It’s good to see that the producers have managed to resolve whatever issues were preventing them from introducing the character, as the show could definitely use some fresh faces right now.
As we pointed out above, there are currently rumors of a possible cancellation after season 10, mostly fueled by the fact that the contracts of the actors have reportedly not been renewed on time. However, people associated with the production were quick to shoot the rumors down, expressing confidence in the show surviving for even more seasons.
If ratings are any indication, there is definitely no reason to believe that “The Big Bang Theory” is going away anytime soon, as the show has been doing quite well in this regard. There were some moments where it seemed like fans were losing interest, but the producers generally know how to handle these slower moments and get the show back up to speed. Even season 9 had some points which had fans questioning the future of the production, but the general response after the season concluded was a positive one.
According to reports from the set, everyone involved with the show right now is actively interested in continuing, so there is no reason to believe that the actors might be abandoning the production either. We’ll likely hear reports of the contracts being renewed in due time, and after that things will get back to normal. Fans don’t seem to enjoy discussing the rumors of a possible cancellation of the show, so this will be a relief for many.
