“The Big Bang Theory” has been one of the most successful productions on TV lately, and the show has managed to gain a large following of loyal fans over the years. It also had some interesting effects in areas such as how society perceives geeks and the socially awkward ones, and it brought geeky humor to the spotlight.
While the show has had its ups and downs, it’s been a hugely successful production for the most part, and there has been no indication of trouble so far. However, recently we’ve seen some worrying rumors which indicate its possible cancellation after the current season is over.
The problem apparently stems from arguments about salaries behind the scenes, specifically involving stars Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki. Jim Parsons was mentioned as well, although it was not made clear if all three had an issue with their payment, or if that was only about Cuoco, with the other two having different problems entirely.
It’s not the first time we’re seeing such rumors on the horizon either. Kaley Cuoco was mentioned in a similar context before, when it was claimed that the actress had failed to negotiate a sufficiently high salary for her own needs, and the producers had subsequently decided to exclude her from the plot of the next season.
The rumors are different now though, and it’s the first time we’re seeing claims that the show could actually be shut down as a whole due to what’s going on behind the scenes. It makes sense to some extent however, as it would be hard to imagine “The Big Bang Theory” without the character of Penny, so if that was the producers’ plan, they might as well have decided to pull the plug completely.
It would be quite the disappointment for many fans of “The Big Bang Theory” to see the show put to rest after it’s had such a successful run, but it also seems like some were not only prepared for this development, but even expected it to some extent.
The story of the show has been moving in a strange direction lately, and some fans claim that things have gotten awkward between some characters. More specifically, the relationship of Sheldon and Amy has taken some unexpected turns that took fans by surprise, and right now things between them have started to develop in odd ways.
Most recently, Sheldon started trying to get Amy pregnant, and those scenes were met with some mixed responses from the audience. While some found them hilarious, others claimed that things are moving too far away from the origins of Sheldon’s character, and what we’re seeing now isn’t the kind of behavior people are used to seeing from him.

With all that in mind, it’s strange to see Jim Parsons involved in those rumors. The actor has maintained a positive attitude towards the show throughout its run, and he hasn’t shown any signs that he’s displeased with his position in the production.
