The Battle Rounds End in the Voice, Sa’Rayah Finds a Place in Alicia Key’s Team, Be Prepared For Exciting Knockouts, And More!

The Battle Rounds have started in Season 11 of The Voice, and the coaches have begun pairing their team members for some impressive duet performances.

As Entertainment Weekly reported it looked like the coaches, have a plan laid out for their respective teams. They are giving out difficult song choices to the mediocre performers and ensuring that the right singers advance to the next round of The Voice while sending the mediocre singers home.

It looked like the coaches were getting the best out of their plans in Round Three of the Battle Rounds. However, some stragglers did succeed in shocking everyone with their performances.

Adam Levine brings together Nolan Neal and Johnny Rez. He asks them to battle it out with Peter Gabriel’s ‘Sledgehammer.’ The song isn’t popular except for the 80s fans. ‘Sledgehammer’ is also chaotic for Johnny Rez and Nolan Neal, and they do not do justice to the song.

While both the contestants of The Voice give their best during their performance, Nolan Neal gets a slight edge over Johnny Rez, which seals the deal for him at the end of the night.

Adam Levine does agree that the two were well-matched and that he was picking the singer he felt more connected with. Neal said that he was excited for his journey in The Voice and is waiting to prove himself as an artist.

Miley Cyrus wasn’t any different either. She had already created quite a mark as a coach in The Voice. Miley Cyrus is known to be supportive of her team, but the song selection for the third night did surprise many.

She asked Darby Walker and Karlee Metzger to perform on Melanie’s ‘Brand New Key.’ Darby Walker brought in her Florence Welch impersonation during the performance and won Miley Cyrus. Even though Karlee brought in a new touch to ‘Brand New Key’ Miley wasn’t impressed.

That didn’t stop Karlee Metzger’s stint on The Voice since Blake hit the steal button to take her into his country genre. The viewers agree that Karlee will fare way better with Blake than with Miley Cyrus on The Voice.

Miley looked happy to know that Karlee Metzger would continue on The Voice. She thanked Blake Shelton for stealing her.

Blaine Long created a ripple with his blinds audition for The Voice. However, he couldn’t stir up the magic for a second cover effort. Long might write his music and doesn’t memorize the notes like his competitor Josh Gallagher, but this is what caused his defeat in The Voice.

Whatever Josh Gallagher did with Ronnie Milsap’s ‘Stranger In My House’ worked well for him. Blake went for Josh Gallagher because he could imagine listening to him on the radio. The decision wasn’t an easy one, and Josh Gallagher would have to improve on his style and performance if he wants to continue on The Voice.

The Voice is a show where each singer needs to shine as a solo performer. In such a situation it was a treat to watch Josh Halverson and Kylie Rothfield from Team Alicia coming together to create magic with ‘House of the Rising Sun’ by The Animals.
