‘The Americans’ Season 5 to See Stan Beerman Possibly Finding the Woman of His Dreams in Renee!

There will be a reunion of two former cast members of the post-apocalyptic horror survival drama TV series “The Walking Dead” in the upcoming fifth season of the American espionage drama TV series “The Americans” on FX.

Noah Emmerich, who plays Stan Beerman in “The Americans,” had a one-season stint during the debut year of “The Walking Dead.”

Stan Beerman shall apparently get a love life in Season 5 of “The Americans” and it is reportedly going to be Renee, to be played by Laurie Holden, who happens to be an alum of “The Walking Dead” too, reports Game & Guide.

The reunion of the two former “The Walking Dead” characters will happen towards the latter part of Season 5 as Renee is reportedly a recurring role. She is said to be a new woman in town who shall grab the attention of Stan at the gym. They will hit it off from there as Renee also likes to indulge in various guy activities including fly fishing, watching sports, and drinking beer.

Stan will reportedly be amazed of Renee and he will regard her as the woman of his dreams. However, what Stan does not know is that she may have hidden secrets and is merely out to use him for her own schemes.

A TV reunion after six years

The last time that both Noah Emmerich and Laurie Holden were in the same TV series together was during the first season of “The Walking Dead.”

Emmerich briefly appeared in Season 1 of “The Walking Dead” as CDC doctor Edwin Jenner. Holden, on the other hand, appeared for three seasons of the zombie apocalypse TV series as Andrea Harrison. She turned dark at the hands of The Governor in Season 3 before getting back into her senses again but she was bitten by a walker and she turned.

The appearance of Emmerich and Holden together in “The Americans” Season 5 will be a reunion of sort for the two actors in one TV series after a span of six years.

Though their characters are not the main protagonists in the TV series as that belong to real-life couple Matthew Rhys and Kerry Russell, who play as Philip and Elizabeth Jennings, respectively, Stan Beerman happens to be a fan-favorite character in “The Americans.” Giving him a romantic interest in Season 5 would truly delight fans, especially considering that it is going to be played by Laurie Holden.

Coming to its conclusion

It has already been confirmed that “The Americans” shall have two more seasons and it will finally wrap up.

The upcoming fifth season shall have a total of 13 episodes while its sixth and final season shall have 10 episodes.

Joel Fields, executive producer of “The Americans,” in a recent interview, said that he finds it hard to believe that they are already heading into the final stretch of the TV series. But they are so grateful to know that FX has given them the opportunity to tell the story to its conclusion.

He added that a lot of people have already put their hearts into “The Americans” over the last four seasons so just like them, they are also looking forward to the final two, details the Inquisitr.

Season 4 of “The Americans” ended with a lot of angles to explore. Phillip Jennings is growing dissatisfied with his job and his son that he just found out about, Mikhail, will likely be featured in Season 5, disrupting the fragile Jennings family dynamic.

Their daughter Paige already found out about their work in Season 4. Although there were a bit of revulsion on Paige initially, she later realized why her parents had to do it, even saying that she wanted to be like them when she grows up.

Showrunners Joseph Weisberg and Joel Fields revealed that the last two seasons of “The Americans” shall be presenting very interesting story arcs for several characters.
