EW reports that the 9th episode, entitled “The Day After” was dedicated to highlights of the 1983 ABC telemovie of the same name. The film explores the aftermath of a nuclear war between the US and the Soviet Union.
As per Design & Trend, many things are still up ahead for the period drama. The website notes that before the season ends, fans should expect a shakeup at the FBI. Richard Thomas’ Frank Gaad was done after the murder of Gene Craft and Alison Wright’s Martha Hanson has taken on his role since.
The gravity of Martha’s situation hit Stan harder as the days pass and culminated in the firing of Gaad. Stan may get the freedom he has been fighting all season long. He’s a dangerous threat to the Jennings especially if he has the full support of the FBI.
The season could also end with Paige as the spy. Reports say that producers and writers are creating a huge story arc for Paige in the upcoming season and that it will be introduced in the remaining episodes of Season 4.
Paige clearly has grown mature this season. She did, in fact, snoop the Pastor and his wife for seven months which will make her a great spy in the future.
Also, the Lassa virus plotline may be carried over until the next season or its aftermath at least. Reports say that Season 4 may culminate in the outbreak the Jennings have been on the edge of sparking for the past episodes.
