The Amazing Spider Man series has become quite popular and now that movie lovers are in waiting mode for the third installment to the movie series, the rumors are starting to heat up about it. Even though the movie is not going to be released until some time next year, the rumors have not slowed down one bit over the last few months. The fans of Amazing Spider Man are also going to be able to enjoy the newest movie with the same lead.
A rumor that hit the internet a month or so ago, indicated that the people behind Amazing Spider Man were going to find another person to play the lead character. According to recent reports, that does not seem to be the case as Andrew Garfield has reportedly signed on for the third movie. Another rumor got the buzz flowing online because fans saw what they thought was a casting call for extras to be in the movie, but that turned out to be false.
The casting call made many think that the movie might be coming even sooner than they expected, but that rumor was shot down right away. The fake casting call came from a Facebook page that has reportedly posted real, fake and other types of casting calls that fans have been complaining about since the day it was posted. The scam was brought to people’s attention because it was asking for money from people that wanted to audition for the role. That exact thing just happens to be against the law in the United States.
According to those that replied and inquired about the audition, they were asked to send money to a specific address. When tracked, the address was an empty building in New York City. Since the scam was found out, there have been no updates to the Facebook page. According to one source, the fact that Garfield has signed on to the new movie has also not been confirmed by anyone that deals with the film.
The rumored started when hacked emails were leaked online and showed conversations between Garfield and Sony pictures. The two parties were not on the best terms according to rumors and Sony was looking to replace him for the third movie. There were some reasons that the second film did not do that well, but according to sources, Sony was blaming Garfield for the lack of better ratings the second time around.
