Confirmed reports regarding The Amazing Spider-Man 3 are scarce, especially since the previous installment was not a grand success. Marvel has grand plans for the moment although Spider-Man does not feature in any. Hence, the movie has been bumped back by two more years to 2018 as Sinister Six takes precedence.
Fans have just one question for the makers right now. Can Andrew Garfield be missing out of the action featuring his alter-ego’s archenemies? A section of fans is quite upset about the latest turn of events, since Spider-Man does not feature in the movie.
However, Spider Man’s presence in the upcoming Sinister Six movie is currently under the scanner while it is too early to comment on the situation, especially since there is no official confirmation.
Andrew Garfield’s comments regarding his inclusion in the upcoming movie have left everyone wondering out loud. Garfield said, “I know a lot about the current proceedings, unfortunately, I am not allowed to divulge any of those secrets. I am excited about the future of Sinister Six and Writer/Director Drew Goddard. It does not matter whether or not I am a part of the cast.”
Sinister Six comprises of Sandman, Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter, Vulture, Mysterio and Electro, six of the primary antagonists of the Spider-Man series. Hence, it is interesting to note what the creators have in mind regarding the superhero.
Dane DeHaan has been signed on as the Green Goblin/Norman Osborne, strongly indicating the character’s return in Sinister Six. The other characters to be incorporated include Felicia Hardy/Black Cat and The Gentleman, to be played by Felicity Jones and Michael Massee respectively.
“The Gentleman is a man in a sinister coat and hat and was first seen under a flash of lightning in The Amazing Spider-Man. The Gentleman is related to Oscorp and to the Sinister Six as a benefactor.” Marc Webb, Director of The Amazing Spider-Man revealed.
In the Amazing Spider-Man Comics, there was a part where Gwen returns to life. We are not sure whether the creators plan on incorporating that part here.
Sinister Six is expected to hit theatres on 11th November, 2016 while The Amazing Spiderman 3 has been postponed till 4th May, 2018.
