The Affair Season 2: Mystery behind Scotty’s Murder Will Be Revealed, Mixed Narrative Likely to Continue!

The Affair was a steamy drama that Showtime got lucky with. Even with mixed opinion during the running, the series garnered a lot of attention for its season 1 finale. The popularity of the series has seen it being reprised for a second season.

The Affair Season 2 is much awaited by the fans for The Affair Season 1 finale has aroused many questions in the minds of the viewers. The episode showed Alison and Noah living happily in present-day New York City. They both have a baby girl. The season ended with Noah being arrested, and Alison promising to get him out.
The narratives got the fans a little confused.

The couple seems happy, normal and leading quite a good life. The last episode in no way answers nor makes sense of the previous nine episodes that showed the varying memories of Noah and Alison and the stark difference in their relationship.

The fans are left wondering if Noah is arrested by Detective Jeffries for the murder of Scotty. This however is in no way understandable from the season finale. For the whole season, the viewers have only seen Noah’s sexual encounters and liaisons, which get him into trouble with the law in the first season’s early episodes.

Sarah Treem, the creator, has said that fans will see more of the varying narrative in The Affair Season 2 as well. This narrative puzzles the viewers and makes them sit up and pay attention. The sudden change in narrative in the season finale of The Affair is what got the series to gather so much of interest for The Affair Season 2.

The season 1 finale has created a lot of interest. There are forums and platforms where the outcome and expected plot line of The Affair Season 2 are being discussed. Fans claim that the baby girl shown in the season finale doesn’t belong to Alison and Noah, but was born from Alison and Oscar’s one night stand, but they are not yet aware of it.

Sarah Treem said that The Affair Season 2 will pick up from where the Season 1 left. The season will start with the past because there is still much to explore before the past can catch up with the present. The evidence on which Detective Jeffries arrests Noah is not much, and he will need to gather more evidence if he can charge Noah for the murder.

There was a point in mid-season of The Affair where fans thought that the series would end in one season, but the writers are looking for at least three seasons.
