The Jeep Wrangler has always been a unique vehicle. This vehicle is a suave on-roader that has the potential to make it huge off road as well. When it comes to being sporty, it doesn’t get bigger or better than an SUV and Jeep is the authentic manufacturer that you should look up to. Although, Land Rover is a direct rival to the American legacy, the British prodigy is plagued by issues of its own.
Even though Land Rover offers the perfect combination of style and performance, the company has a reputation for being non-dependable. Hence, even with all the high-tech equipments on board, guiding the primary components, they run the risk of breaking down. However, that is a whole different story, which we will discuss later.
The 2015 Jeep Wrangler offers a wide range of options, including seven models that are based on two wheelbases. The best part about this vehicle is the new eight-speed transmission setup, which promises to increase the fuel economy of the ride, off road.
The official word from the company states, “The eight-speed transmission system is currently paired with a range of petrol and diesel engine blocks on the current generation Dodge Ram and Grand Cherokee models. The 2015 Jeep Wrangler shall get a slightly modified version of the same.”
The company currently plans on using this transmission system on all their rear-wheel drive vehicles, except for the heavy-duty vehicles such as the Viper SRT and Ram. Official word further claims that the fuel economy has increased by 9%, since they replaced the five-speed transmission.
The Wrangler Sahara was recently tested by a few reputed auto bloggers and enthusiasts, and we have the reports from the event. The Wrangler Sahara sits at the middle of Jeep’s range of SUVs and is quite popular with people who want practicality mixed with performance. The large wheelbase might not be perfectly suited for heading off road, but the Sahara manages the feat like a beauty.
Even though the Sahara is fit for most excursions, it is not as hard-edged as the Jeep Rubicon, which is a true-bred off-roader. But the Sahara was never meant to be a hardcore off-roader. Hence, it is a more refined machine on the road too, with softer suspension settings and better handling. Read our comprehensive review of the Wrangler Sahara here.
The designers at Chrysler and Fiat were sure about weight reduction on the 2015 Wrangler Sahara and hence an all-aluminum engine block is now in place. We will keep you updated on the details as soon as Jeep makes a formal announcement regarding the same. Stay tuned for additional news, reports and updates from the world of automobiles!

I own a 2014 Grand Cherokee with the 8 speed transmission.
It is the worst transmission of any I have ever owned. Even though
I have owned Jeep products for over 30 years, this transmission
would give me pause about ever buying another! Test drive it
thoroughly on freeways, up hills and down hills before you
buy it!!!
