The 2015 Ford Mustang GT Promises to Revolutionize the American Muscle Car Industry for Good!

Mustangs have always been popular with the younger generation, and when Ford announced the 2015 Mustang GT, the college kid in every 45-year-old sprang back into life. The pony car has evolved ever since it went into production back in 1964, and the 2015 variant breathes new life into the model.

The Ford Mustang has been an integral part of the American automotive industry and history and is one of the few vehicles that the people could afford. Companies such as Cadillac, Oldsmobile, Lincoln, etc. were reputed car makers of their time, but they seldom produced vehicles for the general populace.

The Ford Mustang packed in quite a bit of power but was never as impractical as the Dodge Viper or as expensive as a European or Japanese import. The 2014 Ford Mustang kept up the tradition of incorporating a rear-wheel drivetrain and might have been the last of the Mustangs to do the same.

The 2015 Ford Mustang features an independent rear strut suspension along with a 3.7 liter V6 engine block displacing 300 BHP. A smaller four-cylinder 2.3 liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine block displacing 310 BHP is also on the cards. However, if you are looking for the real adventure and saving the planet is not your thing, you could always opt for the 5.0 liter mighty V8 displacing 435 BHP or the 5.2 liter V8 displacing 500+ BHP. The last engine block will also be used in the 2015 Shelby GT350.

Ford has retained the wheelbase from the 2014 variant, although, the exterior is beefier than before. The styling has been retained for most parts even though minor modifications have been inflicted. The interior has been updated with the addition of a few technologically advanced driver aids.

He 2015 Ford Mustang focuses on safety too, and this vehicle features eight airbags for advanced protection. The ride height has been adjusted along with the driver’s seating position, enhancing visibility by a considerable margin. It goes without saying that the GT is the performance-tuned variant and is capable of accelerating from 0 – 60 MPH within 4.5 seconds.

2015 Ford Mustang GT

Ford has launched various Special Edition and Limited Edition variants of the Mustang over time and the most famous being the Boss and the variants from Shelby. The GT is a pleasure to drive and from the instant that you are in the driver’s seat the inner beasts starts to reveal itself. The 2015 Ford Mustang GT has an idle range of 700 RPM, and the vehicle’s idling note is a gentle reminder to the menacing power that lies within.

  2. I like the new Mustang. But one of the reasons I bought my 2013 5.0 (and the 2000 GT before that) was its nearly perfect mix of ultra-high performance, modern reliability, and slightly rough-around-the-edges bad attitude. It was a way for me to get in touch with my inner redneck while working as a consultant in the financial services industry.

My biggest fear is that in its quest for world domination and mass appeal the Mustang will lose its edginess. The dual fog lamps in the grille (that scream “get out of my way” to every Prius going the speed limit in the fast lane) are already gone.

  3. I took delivery of a 2015 Mustang Gt Premiumcoupe last week after owning a 2011 Mustang Gt Premium coupe since it was new four years ago. They are worlds apart as far as driving comfort, handling, tech and ride are concerned. This new Mustang makes me feel much more in control and is a lot of fun . Both the 2011 and 2015 are six speed automatics. I love the 2015 and am happy I bought it. Giving up the 2011 was tough because it too was a beauty and most awesome.
