Test Driving the Land Rover Discovery Sport Reveals its Inner Brute!

The Land Rover Discovery Sport is the latest from the house of Jaguar Land Rover, and this vehicle promises to be just as enterprising as its predecessors. To top it all off, experts claim that if this vehicle cannot get you somewhere, you might reconsider your destination. The Land Rover Discovery Sport is adventurous, sporty, luxurious, and comfortable and saves the planet till a certain extent.

It shares most of the major components with its younger sibling, the Range Rover Evoque, apart from the obvious changes such as the longer wheelbase and the remarkably clever rear suspension that has been introduced. The Land Rover Discovery Sport can comfortably house seven people and measures roughly 4.6 meters, which is equivalent to the BMW i8!

The Land Rover Discovery Sport resembles the Range Rover Evoque to a grand extent, and if not for the badge proclaiming the Discovery tag, you would have had a rather difficult time in distinguishing between the two. However, the story is quite different for a dedicated petrol head.

While the front end is indeed inspired from the Evoque, move on to the sides and the higher roofline is visible immediately. The rear windows are larger while the Discovery’s rear end is different from the Evoque. The vehicle does not look cheap and boasts of an aristocracy that is common to Jaguar Land Rover!

Land Rover has taken modernization quite seriously, and all their latest creations boast of a certain degree of sophistication apart from prestige. Land Rover was known for non-reliability and frequent breakdowns, but the company has evolved since its earlier days. Hence, the Discovery is every bit worth its price tag!

Even though the vehicle seats up to seven people, you will not feel cramped. The cabin is luxuriously spacious thanks to the new rear suspension, which saves interior space. The middle row has been pushed forward by a small margin to allow sufficient legroom for the rear passengers, without compromising on the comfort of the five passengers up front.

It features every major capability that we seek in an SUV and feels at home even in heavy traffic conditions.
