Some critics have been pointing out that Tesla’s success is not just based on developing a good product and advertising it properly. Elon Musk is quite the capable entrepreneur with several successful ventures behind him, and he has a very critical element for his success – a strong vision for the future.
Because Elon Musk definitely knows how to plan ahead and how to develop his business step by step. He started out small and careful, and once the idea took off and gained traction, ne started pouring more effort into it.
And while the company was initially criticized slightly for releasing such an expensive first model, with some people going as far as to predict their failure because of this, it turned out that this was their plan all along and it’s working out quite well right now.
The idea was to start out with an expensive luxury model so that Tesla can build up the funds they need to develop more advanced and more budget-friendly models in the future, and they’re doing exactly that right now. After the Model X, we’re likely going to see an even cheaper version of their car which will make electric vehicles widely available for everyone, and hopefully improve the way the public sees them and talks about them by a large margin.
