‘Tekken 7: Fated Retribution’ to Quench Gamer Thirst Still Waiting for ‘Tekken 7’ on the Gaming Consoles!

The seventh installment of the fighting video game “Tekken” has been reported to come out exclusively on the PlayStation 4 after July of last year following its launch in the arcades in Japan and Korea but the months have come and gone and it is now already 2016 but “Tekken 7” has yet to see the light of day outside of video game arcades.

Japanese game developer Bandai Namco has been pretty quiet since making that announcement in the spring of last year only to fall short on its promise. It is obvious that the developer does not want to shoot itself in the foot again the way it did last year. So it has taken the mantra of less talk, less mistake.

As of late, however, since Bandai Namco cannot say anything much about the release of “Tekken 7” in the gaming console, it decided to give a preview to a new game from the same video game series officially called as “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution.”

The new game is meant to quench fan and gamer thirst for “Tekken 7” and the latest word from Bandai Namco is that “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution” shall come out in the arcade in July this year.

There is now talk that the console version of “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution” would come out late in 2016 or early in 2017, which actually shows semblance from the same announcement made by Bandai Namco regarding “Tekken 7” last year.

So now, fans and gamers are getting cautious about the pronouncement and would rather wait for the game developer to deliver first on its promise before they say anything more about “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution,’ notes the Parent Herald.

A Street Fighter character in ‘Tekken 7: Fated Retribution’

As far as possible characters in “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution,” there are now reports saying that Akuma from the fighting video game “Street Fighter” from Capcom shall be crossing over to “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution.”

Akuma shall reportedly be the missing link to the Mishima clan plot in the latest game from Bandai Namco.

It turns out that the Supreme Master of the Fist is indebted to Kazumi so he will do something for her. There have been issues arising among the Mishima members and she wants to end it. According to the reports, Akuma will kill Kazuya and Heihachi on the instruction of Kazumi, thus ending the Mishima clan.

In effect “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution” shall be the culmination of the Mishima clan saga. So if Akuma’s purpose is to end the Mishima members, there is a possibility that he shall be the missing link to the Mishima plot.

No longer exclusive to one gaming console

Unlike Bandai Namco’s pronouncement last year that after “Tekken 7” comes out in the arcades, a console version of the game shall come out exclusively for PlayStation 4, the latest statement from the Japanese game developer indicates that after “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution” comes out in the arcade in July, the console version shall also come out in the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. In other words, it shall no longer be exclusive to one gaming console.

“Tekken 7: Fated Retribution” shall be offering new content including new characters and costumes which players can use in the game. The game shall also feature one-on-one style matches just like in the arcades, cites Youth Health Mag.

There are also reports that the game shall be split into two modes – the Rage Art and the Power Crush. In the Rage Art mode, gamers will be able to do damage on their opponent by completing several unblockable moves which could bring up to 30% damage. The Power Crush mode, on the other hand, will allow players to continue attacking their opponent even though the gamers already started bringing damage on them.

The attack would be very crucial in a situation where the player’s opponent is already close to defeat as it would ensure damage and bring the player into victory.
