Fans of the fighting game “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution” were happy to learn recently that the game would be coming out on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC early next year.
The game first came out in video game arcades in Japan this year following the release of “Tekken 7” also exclusively in Japanese video game arcades last year.
Latest reports have it that the rugged but suave Spanish conquistador Miguel Caballero Rojo shall be part of the roster of playable characters in “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution” which has been causing excitement and enthusiasm to many of the gamers of the “Tekken” franchise, reports Game & Guide.
Bullfighter Miguel Caballero Rojo is a fan-favorite character of the “Tekken” franchise. He first appeared in “Tekken 6” as a Spanish widower who was also being tormented by the death of his sister during her wedding.
The attack that caused the death of his sister was a result of an airstrike ordered by the Mishima Zaibatsu, which is why he has made it a goal to get his revenge on Jin Kazuma, details JBH News.
Rojo shall reportedly make his grand return to the fighting game on the King of Iron First Tournament. He will be joining the playable character roster in the console version of “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution.”
He has gained recognition in the “Tekken” franchise for his brawling style, thrill-seeking demeanor, and his irresistible sense of coolness.
Many gamers and critics are optimistic that Japanese game developer Bandai Namco is doing an excellent job in the development of the game and the addition of Rojo in its latest game means that everything is shaping up quite nicely.
Cross-platform play?
There are rumors saying that “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution shall be offering a cross-platform play to its home-based players.
The cross-platform play will enable players to have the opportunity to battle opponents across different consoles which would mean a PlayStation 4 gamer can actually fight it out with an Xbox One user, provided they are both connected to the internet.
But since Bandai Namco has yet to make an official statement regarding the widely-speculated cross-platform play, everything remains as speculation so it is best to take all information with a fine grain of salt.
Game director Katsuhiro Harada recently said that the implantation of cross-platform play is highly unlikely to happen. He explained that it is not just a matter of the technology for getting the PS4/XB1/PC players to match up against each other but rather first party company policies and potential security risks alongside the community perceived the reputation of PC gamers as being cheaters that are hindering the decision to allow cross-platform play.
Returning to its purest form
Meanwhile, as the fighting game that truly revolutionized the genre, “Tekken 7” shall be returning the storied fighting game franchise to its purest form with bone-crushing head-to-head bouts, new developments in the game’s canon storyline centered on the struggle for power amongst the members of the Mishima clan, and technical prowess that will take the fighting game circuit by storm.
With an Unreal Engine 4 powering it under the hood, “Tekken 7” would deliver numerous new modes and enhancements including an epic Story Moder that enables players to fully experience the canon storyline of “Tekken.”
“Tekken 7” players will also be able to play as new fighters such as Kazumi Mishima, Claudio, Josie, Shaheen, Katarina, Lucky Chloe, Gigas, and Akuma from the “Street Fighter” franchise among an impressive stable of fighters for the first-time-ever outside of the arcades.
Incidentally, “Tekken 7” was one of the two major high-profile games from Japanese game developer Bandai Namco that were highlighted in the Play Expo held in Manchester, United Kingdom.
The Play Expo was held on October 8 to 9 and the other popular game that was featured in the event is “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.”
