‘Tekken 7’ Developer Assessing Interest of Fighting Game for a Possible PC Version!

Japanese game developer Bandai Namco has announced the latest iteration to its popular fighting video game “Tekken” officially titled “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution” which would come out in the video game arcades in Japan in July this year.

While the developer did not say exactly its intention for announcing “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution” early this year and its likely release to the arcades later this year, critics believe that it is meant to quench gamer thirst for the console version of “Tekken 7.”

Bandai Namco released “Tekken 7” to the video game arcades early last year and promised to release the fighting video game exclusively on the PlayStation 4 in July last year. But the month has come and gone and it is already 2016 and there is still no sight of “Tekken 7” on Sony’s current generation gaming platform.

Having learned its lesson about opening its mouth too soon, the Japanese game developer decided to adopt a low profile mode about “Tekken 7.” In addition, to sort of redeem itself from the unfulfilled promise it made last year, it recently announced the coming of “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution” to the video game arcades.

Looking at the PC first more than the console version

After the debacle of not being able to release a PlayStation 4 version of “Tekken 7” from July last year until this time, there are now reports that Bandai Namco is now considering releasing a PC version of the game instead of the planned PlayStation 4 exclusive.

Latest reports have been saying that Bandai Namco has been conducting surveys as of late and asking gamers about their opinions of having a PC version of “Tekken 7,” notes Events Hubs.

If “Tekken 7” finally makes it to the PC, it will be the first game of the franchise to do so and it will certainly provide some competition for the likes of “Street Fighter” and “Skullgirls.”

It is also possible that once Bandai Namco sees the potentials of releasing “Tekken 7” on the PC sometime down the road, it will likely do so with “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution,” notes the PC Gamer.

While there is nothing specific or definite yet about the possible release of “Tekken 7” on the PC, the Bandai Namco survey is more than enough to keep gamers really excited about the release of the game outside of the arcades.

The survey only takes about 20 minutes to complete and most of the feedbacks favor a PC version of “Tekken 7.”

Cross-over character

As far as possible characters in “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution,” there are now reports that Akuma from the fighting video game “Street Fighter” from Capcom shall be crossing over to “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution.”

Akuma shall reportedly be the missing link to the Mishima clan plot in the latest game from Bandai Namco.

Tekken 7

It turns out that the Supreme Master of the Fist is indebted to Kazumi so he will do something for her. There have been issues arising among the Mishima member and she wants to end it. According to the reports, Akuma will kill Kazya and Heihachi on the instruction of Kazumi, thus ending the Mishima clan.

In effect “Tekken 7: Fated Retribution” shall be the culmination of the Mishima clan saga. So if Akuma’s purpose is to end the Mishima members, there is a possibility that he shall be the missing link to the Mishima plot.
