Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 to Focus on the Origins and the Back Stories of the Turtles and their Universe!

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2” already has a June 3, 2016 playdate. While not much has been said about its possible plotline as only the details of its cast members are being officially released as of late, it has been widely believed by the fans of the franchise based on the comic book and animated series that the sequel could focus on the origins and back stories of the turtles, the other characters, their universe itself.

It can be recalled that in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” shown last year, April O’Neil, played by Megan Fox, briefly discussed how the turtles originated in the form of her childhood flashbacks.

She remembered that the turtles were part of a science experiment between her father and Dr. Eric Sacks, played by William Fichtner, who later on proved to be the villain in the movie, in addition to the classic bad, Master Shredder and cohorts.

In a past interview, William Fichtner actually hinted that it would be a good idea for a sequel to touch on the origins of everything. He added that it would be interesting to explore the history of the turtles, their past storylines and the origin of their universe itself, details Cinema Blend.

Fichtner also believes that the writers of the sequel did not have a problem coming up with interesting things to write about for “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.”

With the blockbuster success of its predecessor, which raked in a cool $485 million in worldwide box-office, it is just impossible not to have a sequel. And the good news is that everyone from the director, the cast, to the production staff have come to the sequel on a triumphant perspective.

They have all decided to take the momentum of the first movie during the production of the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2” which completed filming on schedule last month. The movie is now on its post-production phase and it is likely that more details about the film will be coming out before the end of the year if not early next year.
