The sixth and final season of “Teen Wolf” will see more maturity compared to the past seasons, series lead Tyler Posey says.
Posey, who plays Scott McCall in the TV series says that Season 6 will be more linear and not as confusing as the past five seasons. He says that the last 20 episodes of the MTV hit series will have a solid direction that fans will surely enjoy.
The 24-year-old actor adds that Scott will be loveless in the upcoming season. Arden Cho, who plays Scott’s girlfriend Kira left the show after season 5.
Kira was last seen going with the Stormwalkers so she can harness her kitsune powers. Scott’s first girlfriend, Alison, was killed by an Oni back in Season 3.
Fans hope that Kira would at least come back for an episode arc to give her and Scott a closure for her story as well with her and Scott’s.
Reports say that fans can also expect a more mature Scott in Season 6, but producers hint that they might give room for Scott’s love life in the second half of the season.
Posey says that it will be a good thing for Scott because it will allow him to get to know himself better. In fact, Tyler says that Scott’s arc in Season 6 is much like what he’s experienced in reality, being better off single. Fans will remember that Posey ended a 10-year relationship with Seana Gorlick in 2014.
Scott will also consider Cody Christian’s Theo as more of an annoyance than a threat in the next season, but he’s likely to keep him around to help his pack.
It was earlier reported that Theo will now be one of the good guys after being dragged to hell by his sister last season.
His trip to the Underworld reportedly gave him time to reflect on all the horrible things he did last season and will work his bet to redeem Scott’s trust.
Reports say that the pack will have a hard time forgiving Theo, but with the threat of the Nazi werewolf and the Ghost Riders in Beacon Hills, Scott will need all the help he can get to defeat them.
Speaking during the show’s panel at the San Diego ComicCon, Posey says that the villains in Season 6 particularly the Ghost Riders have the ability to erase memories.
They are different from past villains because they don’t kill people, they make them forget they ever existed. Lastly, he teases that the pack will find it very difficult to stop these bad guys.
Meanwhile, the sixth season hints that the friendship between Lydia and Malia could be over because of Stiles.
Showrunner Jeff Davis has teased that Stiles and Lydia could potentially become a couple in the upcoming season which would hurt Malia, Stiles’ ex-girlfriend.
There are reports that the blossoming romance between the two will make things awkward with Malia, but Theo will be there to comfort her.
Fans have seen the chemistry between Malia and Theo in Season 5 and with the latter rumored being on Scott’s side, it’s possible that they could end up together.
Stiles will be the target of the Ghost Riders with his existence erased from memories of the people he loves. Lydia seems to be the only one who can remember him and will do anything to save him.
Davis promised fans that the season premiere will finally see Stiles work on his emotions and choose between Lydia or Malia.
Liam will also be the highlight of the season as he is rumored to take the place of Scott as the Alpha. The season will cover the final months of Scott, Stiles, Lydia and Malia in Beacon Hills High.
