Even though “Teen Wolf” wasn’t a stranger to drama throughout its run, it looks like fans of the show will be treated to a particularly exciting final season, according to some recent reports. We’ve seen teasers about several major developments coming up in season 6, and all in all it sounds like a fitting conclusion to the overall story in many ways.
We’re going to see some interesting new supernatural creatures in this season, although the exact details on them remain unclear. The producers have been particularly quiet about this part of the show, so hopefully this air of mystery doesn’t turn out to have been for nothing. It’s entirely possible that the creatures don’t actually have a special place in the plot of the new season.
There will be some new romantic developments as well, although there were mixed details regarding who exactly will be involved. Melissa McCall has been mentioned a few times in previews, so she seems like a prime candidate for a new love story right now. However, who exactly she’s going to get together with remains unclear and we’ll have to wait for the new season.
On the other hand, Scott will be all alone, at least for a while. The producers did tease that the character will likely find someone soon enough though, so fans shouldn’t feel too bad for him. In addition, there were some teasers claiming that the love story around Scott’s character may be a bit of an unusual one, so we’re curious to see what they’ve prepared there.
Last but not least, there may be a major death during this season. As can be expected, the showrunners were completely quiet on the details and didn’t want to reveal who they will be sending off, but they did hint that there might actually be more than one deaths during the season.
It sounds like there will be lots of mixed emotions in there, and we have no idea how exactly those developments are going to be arranged. Is the season going to start off on a positive note, progressively getting darker and darker until it eventually ends the show in a shocking way? Or are the producers planning to conclude the whole story in a nicer manner?
Both are equally possible, but it would probably be more in the show’s style to go for the latter. After all, “Teen Wolf” didn’t exactly start out as a depressing drama, and it would be strange to see the show ending in a bad way. But it’s also clear that it’s changed through its seasons, and the “Teen Wolf” we have today is quite different from what fans saw in 2011 when the show started.
Have the changes been for the better though? Most probably yes, considering the show’s ratings have remained consistently high throughout its run. Even though it had its lower moments, the final result was still a pretty solid production all the way, and it’s managed to retain a large following for a long time.
Of course, things can always change in the last season, and it wouldn’t be the first show that’s run into problems because the producers have decided to end it in a strange way, but there are no indications that anything like this is coming up for season 6. If anything, fans have plenty of reasons to be optimistic for the new season, as it looks like the producers are putting a lot of work and thought into it.
