Much of the talk about the American teen supernatural drama TV series “Teen Wolf” is on whether Dylan O’Brien, who plays Stiles Stilinski on the hit MTV show, shall be able to recuperate and start filming his parts for Season 6 soon.
The actor’s character in the TV series is a fan-favorite so it would be a big disappointment for the fans and loyal viewers of “Teen Wolf” if Stiles takes a leave of absence from the show because of an injury he sustained in March while filming for “The Maze Runner 3: The Death Cure.”
However, more than O’Brien, fans and loyal viewers of “Teen Wolf” would also like to get an update on Tyler Posey, who plays the main protagonist Scott McCall in the TV series.
The biggest question of fans is whether Scott McCall would have another romantic interlude in the upcoming sixth season of “Teen Wolf.”
Up until Season 5, Arden Cho, who played Kira Yukimura, was the lady love of Scott. But after the Season 5 finale, the actress announced that she will no longer be returning to the show.
Kira is the second of Scott’s great romances in “Teen Wolf,” with the first one being the epic and tragic one with Allison. Kira provided Scott with a romantic comedy love affair.
Deviating from the usual
Showrunner Jeff Davis disclosed that Season 6 will see Scott McCall as a single guy just trying to graduate and be there for his friends while facing yet another supernatural crisis, reports Entertainment Weekly.
Davis and the writers of the show have already been accustomed to seeing Scott having a love or a romance in the TV show that they would like to deviate for Season 6 and make the character more of a lone wolf this time around.
For his part, actor Tyler Posey said that he would like to see his character being single for a change. He pointed out that right on the very first episode of Season 1 of “Teen Wolf,” he already fell in love with Allison and then they break up and he immediately meets Kira so Scott never really had the time to be single in the TV show.
Posey says that he can very well relate to Scott being single in the TV series because he himself has been single for the last two years so it is really giving him time to figure out who he wants to become as a person, notes MTV.
He would not be turning women away even if he is single but he would remain uncommitted which would be good for him. Posey describes Scott as a crazy puppy dog whenever he falls in love and he aimlessly wanders around. So having no romance to think of would really be good for the evolution of the character in the TV series.
More reveals about the TV series
It has been confirmed that “Teen Wolf” shall be participating in the upcoming San Diego ComicCon slated on July 21, which means that the cast members and showrunner would be there to talk about what fans should expect for Season 6.
