J.R. Bourne, the Canadian actor who plays the role of Chris Argent, the father of Allison Argent, played by Crystal Reed, in the American supernatural drama TV series “Teen Wolf” on MTV, said that the decision and announcement of the producers that Season 6 would be the last for the show was a bittersweet news for the cast of characters.
Like the fans of the show, the cast members were actually taken by surprise with the decision of the producers to end the hit show after its upcoming Season 6.
Bourne said that it was bittersweet because they all feel quite good how they are ending the TV series, while it’s on top and bringing in the viewers and ratings. But they are all going to miss it absolutely, details The Wrap.
The actor said that they all feel really good that they are going out the way they are and the fact that the show has told all those crazy and amazing stories.
It was during the San Diego ComicCon held in July when the producers decided to tell the whole world that the upcoming Season 6 of “Teen Wolf” is going to be its final season.
Will be around in the TV series
While Dylan O’Brien, who plays Stiles Stilinski in the TV series, was not able to make it during the San Diego ComicCon panel because he was reportedly recuperating from his injury sustained in March while filming “Maze Runner 3: The Death Cure,” Bourne says that his co-star is doing great and will be around for the final run of the show.
He also states that he does not know a lot about the plotlines of the upcoming Season 6 of “Teen Wolf” and it seems that the showrunners and the producers are not giving it to him either because he confesses that he is terrible at keeping secrets.
Bourne said that what he knows and what he has been told is that Season 6 of “Teen Wolf” is going to be the best for the TV series.
He also said that Scott and Lydia and the gang are going to be really engaged with the outcome of the TV series.
Personally, he feels saddened with the ending of the show because he considers “Teen Wolf” as one of the most influential experiences in his acting career.
He said that the longevity of the show and the friends that he and the others have made out of it is really something he could not have asked any better. He even said that he and Tyler Hoechlin, who plays Derek Hale, are really very close friends now because of “Teen Wolf.”
The mentor returns
Speaking of Tyler Hoechlin, his character shall be returning to “Teen Wolf” Season 6 to possibly tie all the loose ends that his role has left in the previous seasons.
While he has acting commitments in The CW network playing Superman in “Supergirl,” Hoechlin confirmed that he will be returning to “Teen Wolf” but only for two episodes, one of which is in the Season 6 finale episode, notes Game & Guide.
Hoechlin would come back to reprise his role in “Teen Wolf” but he will not be the only actor who shall be returning to Beacon Hills. Other actors shall also make a come back to give a closure to their respective character in the TV series.
Derek Hale is actually the mentor of Scott McCall, played by Tyler Posey, who is the main protagonist and lead star of “Teen Wolf.”
Reports have been swirling that the sixth and final season of “Teen Wolf” is going to be the best in the series. According to the cast of characters, the sixth season would not disappoint because it shall be introducing a variety of villains other than the Nazi werewolf that was shown during the Season 5 finale.
