Teen Wolf is one of the most popular shows on MTV right now and the fourth season is already going full speed ahead. The show is loosely based on the 1985 film that starred Michael J. Fox and was just renewed for a fifth season. With just seven episodes left in the fourth season, fans are wondering if the fifth season would be coming. That answer is yes and according to reports, the fifth season will have 20 episodes for you to enjoy. That is 8 more episodes than you were able to watch in season 4, so you should be pumped that the network likes the show so much.
Season 3 did have 24 episodes, but in reality it was broken into two 12 episode parts. In order to get the buzz about the new season coming up going, the cast visited fans at the Comic-Con which was held in San Diego California for the fifth time this year. The panel consisted of the creator of the show, Jeff Davis and he was joined by Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig and Dylan Sprayberry.
Fans are always looking for that little bit of information to keep them going and when the producers of Teen Wolf released the mid-season trailer, it revealed just enough to get the excitement flowing. While on the panel, it was revealed that the show was going to be back for a fifth season and that it would run for the full 20 episodes. When asked about when the fifth season would premier, there was no comment for an exact date, but usually the show starts out during the summer months.
The show has been produced and filmed under a tighter schedule recently, which was different than the first couple years when the creator had a lot more time between seasons to prepare for the future episodes. With that being said, the positive reviews have been flowing in so that must mean the fans are liking what they are seeing so far. In order for the show to keep those fans going through season 5, it will be important that the story line stay relevant and exciting.
For now, there are 7 episodes left in season 4 and that is a pretty good amount of time to get some loose ends wrapped up before the filming of season 5 begins. Keeping the fans coming back for more is key to the longevity of any show and of course, whether the network that is playing it really wants to pay for more episodes. So far so good for Teen Wolf and season 5.
