This could also ruin the spin-off before it’s even started, as people would probably avoid it just out of principle. And without that audience, it’s questionable just how many people the new show would be able to draw in, and how much success it will see before its first season is over.
From what we can tell from the overall tone of discussions about the show, it looks like most fans would prefer that the producers simply keep running the current series as they have until now, and keep developing its characters in as much detail as they can.
A spin-off based on “Teen Wolf” would certainly be nice to see, but the current situation on the TV scene isn’t very favorable for something like this.
Plus, it’s not like there is a shortage of possible developments lined up for “Teen Wolf”, and the show actually has some very interesting loose ends to tie up right now. With that in mind, we would expect to see it on the screen for a very long time in the future.
Fans should of course keep in mind that the information about those spin-off plans is currently mostly based on speculation, so it probably doesn’t make much sense to get too worked up over it. And if we don’t hear anything official from the producers in the next few months, it’s probably safe to assume that the rumors were false and there are no spin-off plans at the moment.
