Ted 2 Trailer Is Out, Positive Responses All Around

When Seth MacFarlane made “Ted”, the film received a very warm response from pretty much everyone – both critics and regular film fans were very fond of the production, and many were praising it for its originality, great humor, and well-developed characters. MacFarlane may have been getting some criticism for the repetitive nature of his work in the more recent seasons of “Family Guy”, but he definitely knows how to deliver quality comedy at the end of the day. And by the looks of it, “Ted 2” is shaping up to be just as good as the original, if not even better.

The trailer for the highly anticipated sequel has finally been released, and everyone seems to be enjoying it greatly. And from the looks of it, the new “Ted 2” is going to push the boundaries of the original film’s humor even further, and that says something. The original was already rated “R”, but that didn’t stop it from reaching a wide audience and grossing over $550 million around the world.

“Offensive” is one way to describe everything seen in the new trailer in one word, as a voiceover proclaims that “Americans don’t’ give a c**p about anything” at one point. MacFarlane will be reprising his role as the lead character in the film, while other celebrities are also on board for the new production, including Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, and Amanda Seyfried.

In the new film’s story, Ted will be trying to have a baby with Tami-Lynn, to whom he’d just gotten married. However, the couple is facing a peculiar problem – Ted is not eligible for being considered as a real parent in legal terms unless he can prove he’s an actual person. Which, given the nature of the character, is going to cause some obvious issues. It’s already apparent that the film is going to touch some hot social topics, which would not be surprising for Seth MacFarlane at all, but it would be interesting to see how exactly he chooses to tackle those problems.

Not much is known about plot details, although plenty of rumors are coming out from the set, and there seem to be some prominent leaks surrounding the film. Seth MacFarlane is generally known for being secretive about his work until it’s ready to be shown though, and he knows how to keep those secrets hidden – so it’s unlikely that we’ll see much actual information until the movie is ready for release. Currently, that’s planned for July 2015 for cinemas across the UK, and so far the film’s production has been moving along according to schedule pretty much flawlessly, so there’s no reason to expect that we won’t see it in the summer.
