Quite a buzz has been generated by producer Aascar Ravichandran’s film I. The film that was scheduled to be titled “Ai” has roped in Hollywood actor, Sylvester Stallone for media publicity.
I, which is going to be the directorial debut for Shankar, stars Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead. The film has a huge budget and has attracted quite a lot of attention due to the special effects and stunts, which got bigger.
Ravichandran has roped in Asian superstar, Jackie Chan, for the audio release that is scheduled to take place soon in Hyderabad. There have been official confirmations from Ravichandran’s office announcing Jackie Chan’s presence at the event.
Aascar Ravichandran did something that no other Indian producer had even dreamt of achieving. Roping in Hollywood stars for a media program and making sure that the film gets a huge media coverage. Ravichandran doesn’t just stop there. He has thought of things bigger than just this.
Aascar Ravichandran is all set to organise an international premiere for I. Unlike other films that have a national and an international premiere, I will have two international premieres for the international stars – one in Singapore and the other in the United States. The film is set to release in over 20,000 theatres around the world.
Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone has confirmed his presence at the US premiere of I. With Stallone going for the premiere of a Telegu movie, the western media will surely focus on the much-anticipated Indian film. The film has already grabbed quite a lot of attention in India.
Ravichandran is very positive about the film. He has huge expectations from it. Vikram has quite an enormous fan following in the South Indian film industry and this along with the news of Sylvester Stallone being roped in for the premiere and Jackie Chan for the audio release, will surely generate positive publicity. The film is an action film, and the presence of popular action heroes in I’s publicity programs gets fans excited about the level of stunt-sequences involved in the film.
I has a strong cast featuring Santhanam, Suresh Gopi, Upen Patel and others. Two-time Oscar winner AR Rahman has been roped in to compose the music for the film. The cinematography of I has been done under the expert guidance of PC Sreeram while Anthony has handled the film’s editing. I is likely to hit the screens by the end of November 2014.
