Reports also have it that the US version of “Ultimate Beastmaster” shall have Terry Crews and Charissa Thompson as hosts. Crews is a protégé of Stallone and he was quoted as saying that whatever Sly wants him to do in whatever project, he will abide because he considers the actor as his father in the business.
The “Ultimate Beastmaster” will run for 10 episodes where it shall have a total of 108 contestants evenly split among the six hosting countries. The final episode will bring together the winners for the first nine episodes.
An individual’s episode winner is to be called a ‘Beastmaster,’ while the finale’s winner shall be named as the “Ultimate Beastmaster.”
Netflix announced on May 16 that Sylvester Stallone might also be featured in some way on the show.
The producers actually started recruiting contestants for “Ultimate Beastmaster” as early as February and taping for the episodes has already begun last month.
Netflix has not announced a release date for the new reality TV series but it said that all 10 episodes will be released simultaneously, consistent with the streaming service’s binge-friendly strategy.
In a statement issued to the media about the “Ultimate Beastmaster,” Stallone is apparently proud of his involvement in the TV series and called it a revolutionary concept.
