Fans of Sylvester Stallone were recently given hope that the actor would once again be seen on screen together for Salman Khan’s next production, “Sultan”, as was indicated by an exchange between the two of them on public social media. However, as it turns out, this was a false alarm and there is nothing of the sort planned right now. The rumors have been officially denied, according to recent reports, and it looks like the role isn’t going to come true after all. Still, there have been some minor rumors that there might still be some partnering between the two of them in the future, although there is no official foundation for that right now.
The rumors were specifically denied by Raja Mukerji, an executive producer involved in the film, who stated that he deemed Salman Khan to be enough for the production and wasn’t interested in hiring Sylvester Stallone at this point. While this brought disappointment among some fans of both Stallone and Khan, judging by social media responses, it still looks like the film has a strong potential to be highly successful, and many fans are still hopeful that it’s going to turn out as a solid production.
It’s been in the works for quite some time by Salman Khan himself, who has been taking his involvement in it quite seriously. The star has also been involved in other productions at the same time, and it looks like he’s keeping his time occupied as best as possible. His exchanges with Sylvester Stallone seemed to show genuine interest towards working with him and producing something interesting between the two of them, but it looks like that was just friendly banter between two popular celebrities and nothing that fans should take too seriously.
For now, many people are focused on “Sultan” and there are high expectations for the production, and even though the recent dismissal of the rumors regarding Stallone’s involvement affected its popularity negatively very slightly, it’s not going to do any harm in the long run as it looks like the production itself is going to be of very high quality and will please Khan’s fans who are already familiar with his work.
Meanwhile, Stallone’s own production – “The Expendables” has also been surrounded by minor rumors claiming that Salman Khan might be taking part in it, although this hasn’t been confirmed by either actor right now and there have been attempts to dismiss those rumors completely. According to some fans, it’s possible that the rumors are still true, and that the actors trying to dismiss them is just a ploy related to the marketing of the movie, although it’s more likely that this is just hopeful thinking on some fans’ part.
Stallone has been moving forward quite successfully with his franchise and he’s currently working on another installment in it, although there are some skeptical views towards it from some sides of the fan base. Some people consider the franchise to be deteriorating and in need of some fresh revival in order to survive, although nobody seems to be able to point out exactly what that should be.
It does seem to be true that the franchise is slightly going down though, looking at the way it’s been moving recently, and the last film could have been produced a bit better. This opinion was shared among many critics and fans, and while people were arguing over what exactly the film needed in order to be more successful, one thing was clear – Stallone needs to do a slight reevaluation of his approach.
