Had he been a lot younger, Sylvester Stallone would have drawn on his iconic Rambo character and go on a vengeful binge on the bad guys. But at 70 years old, he could only commiserate with what happened recently to his 19-year-old half-brother Dante who was brutally attacked by two unidentified men.
Dante Stallone was walking home from a Tallahassee Taco Bell around three in the morning on October 15 near the Florida State University campus when two men suddenly hit him in the face. He suffered a broken jaw and broke two teeth, details Page Six.
The assault on Dante was reported to the police by one of his roommates after he was noted to have suffered a broken jaw and started having difficulty speaking.
He actually ran away from the men and headed home, and his friends subsequently took him to the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He was scheduled to undergo surgery on the night of October 17, according to his half-brother, Frank Stallone Jr.
The actor and musician, 66, tweeted: ‘My brother goes into surgery tonight hoping for good results. Thanks for your thoughts and kind words.’
A wonderful young man
Sylvester Stallone felt sad and was terribly upset about the tragic incident that happened to his half-brother. In a statement, the “Rocky” actor said that Dante is a wonderful young man and a straight-A student who would not cause any trouble.
Dante is a biology major at Florida State University. He is the son of Sylvester’s late father, Frank Stallone Sr. with his fourth wife Kathleen.
He is also a model and actor and is being represented by Exxcel Model Talent, which posted on social media wishing him a quick recovery after the weekend attack.
It said that the senseless attack is leaving the agency sad and outraged at the same time.
Dante said to the police that he was walking near Stadium Drive at around 3 am when two men approached him. One immediately punched him in the face. He said he ran to the area closer to the FSU campus where he was able to lose the suspects and call for help.
The two suspects are reported to be black males, one is about 6 feet in height and the other, about 5 feet and 9 inches. Dante said that the men did not speak to him nor did they try to take any money. He also said that he had never seen them before.
Police described it as a case of an unmotivated attack and they are now looking for leads as well as the whereabouts of the two suspects, reports the Daily Mail of UK.
Being very silent about film production
In other news, there have been reports saying that filming for “The Expendables 4” shall happen this fall in time for the movie’s official premiere to global theaters next year.
The same reports were also saying that shooting for the movie shall be held in China because the producers of the upcoming fourth installment of the action ensemble franchise are from the country.
Fall has already set in but there seems to be no official report yet as regards the production for “The Expendables 4” including from the lead actor himself, Sylvester Stallone.
It could be the strategy of the producers, this time, to keep everything under wraps so as to avoid the occurrence that happened before “The Expendables 3” came out to theaters in 2014. Back then, there was a massive promotion of the movie right from the set and all the way to the film’s promotion period.
As a result, an online copy of the movie got leaked to the internet even before “The Expendables 3” hit theaters and thus causing major box-office effect on the movie, and making it the lowest-earning movie of the franchise.
That is amid the fact that “The Expendables 3” had more star power compared to the previous two films.
