‘Switched at Birth” Season 5 to Tie All Loose Ends Left During Season 4, Says Vanessa Marano!

There was a 10-month time jump during the finale episode of Season 4 of the American teen drama TV series “Switched at Birth” on Freeform.

From their home in Kansas, Bay Kennish, played by Vanessa Marano, and Daphne Vasquez, played by Katie Leclerc, traveled to China to put their lives together again despite leaving so much back home.

The cliffhanger during Season 4 was the call that they received from their home that shall force them to go back to Kansas.

It can also be recalled during the same episode that Bay and Travis, played by Ryan Lane, had a big moment after he organized a whole exhibit for her. Daphne, on the other hand, was still struggling with her decision to study medicine, details The Bitbag.

In a recent interview, Vanessa Marano said that the entire fifth season of “Switched at Birth” shall have a lot of returning storylines.

She explained that the TV series left a lot of loose ends open in Season 4, so in the fifth season, it will be all tied up altogether.

Marano said that the upcoming Season 5 would be very much like a New Year because so much time has passed and the girls are at new places in their lives.

The young actress said that fans should revisit stuff just to show how much time has actually passed.

A new boyfriend

There are reports saying that Vanessa’s character would finally get a new boyfriend in Season 5 of “Switched at Birth” and fans are hoping that she would finally take Travis seriously.

In the same interview, Vanessa said that she likes the idea of Bay and Travis being a couple in “Switched at Birth.”

She said that she loves the idea of Bay and Travis together because the relationship came out of nowhere. It would be a complete departure from Bay’s relationship with Emmet, who cheated on her, details Movie News Guide.

Fans would really be fascinated to know how Bay’s love life would turn out to be but it looks like it is going to be a happy one.

More than sufficient

The fifth and final season of “Switched at Birth” on Freeform is expected to air in January next year with 10 episodes.

While series creator Lizzy Weiss would have wanted to have more episodes to expound on her storytelling for “Switched at Birth,” the 10 episodes were also more than sufficient to wrap up the TV series on a high note the same way that it started back in 2012.

Based on the showrunner’s hint on her social media account, it seems clear that the two teenagers who were switched at birth, Bay Kennish and Daphne Vasquez would have their happy endings during the Season 5 finale.

According to the spoilers of the TV series, Bay is likely to move on with a new boyfriend when the Season 5 begins after they return from China.

Daphne and her boyfriend Mingo, on the other hand, are expected to be enjoying every part of their happy relationship. The last time that viewers saw the two of them, they had a major disagreement when Daphne decided to intern near Quinn.
