It will be interesting to see how season 5 plays out, and so far we have heard enough about it to believe that it could really push the show forward and help realize its potential better. “Switched at Birth” already had an interesting premise and a good run during its first four seasons, but a lot more can happen in the future too.
Some of the rumors we’re hearing about season 5 are not exactly positive, and there are in fact some claims that paint a relatively grim picture for certain characters, but that’s the way the plot of this show works.
Fans are also split on their opinions on characters like John, and there are rumors that season 5 might help sway those opinions, but we don’t know in what direction.
All in all, it does sound like a lot of thought has gone into that season and the producers are really trying to do something interesting with the show after it’s already been through four seasons, so there could be something very exciting on the horizon for fans of “Switched at Birth”. We’ll find out for sure next year once the show is back on the screen, and until then the speculation will probably grow even stronger.
