Aaron Bass is the grandson of a member of the Judah Initiative and it is a good thing that he comes in to help the brothers. Given the forces they are up against, Dean and Sam will need all the help they can get.
Supernatural Season 8 had seen Dean and Sam getting acquainted with the Judah Initiative. The Judah Initiative were trying to defeat the Thule Society. The Thule Society will be back in Season 12, and they will be trying to bring back Hitler.
