We’ve seen the relationship between Sam and Dean Winchester go in all sorts of directions on “Supernatural”, and fans have been wishing that the two brothers will finally see things through a common perspective at some point, as it’s definitely fun to watch them together. And while they have been going through a lot of drama lately in particular, season 11 will reportedly reverse this trend and finally see them getting close and working together properly.
This news came from Jared Padalecki, who plays the role of Sam on the famous show. According to Padalecki, he himself has been very excited about the reunion, as he’s a big fan of the scenes where the two brothers are fighting for each other and protecting each other as they should. But lately, they have been fighting over various issues and have generally been on a different page throughout most of the recent episodes of the show.
Now, this trend is about to end, at least for a while, and Jared Padalecki has expressed his own happiness about that. Jeremy Carver is someone else who admitted that he would enjoy seeing the brothers fight alongside each other, not against one another, and he claimed that the fighting between them was being used to purposefully make the series more dramatic and exciting for the fans.
However, just because the two characters are back to working together doesn’t mean that they’re going to have an easy time in general, but the show’s producer Andrew Dabb has been managing the whole thing rather efficiently, and everyone has been having a lot of fun making the new episodes from what we’re hearing.
What else is going to happen in the new season? Sam and Dean will have to count on help from other people as well, which, according to teasers, will include some people from their “old days”. We don’t know who this could be alluding to, as there are realistically plenty of possibilities, but there have been hints of surprises coming up in the new episodes, and there will apparently be some storylines that the fans haven’t been expecting.
Sam and Dean will also have to fight off “The Darkness” together, after the new villain of the show got revealed in the finale of its last season. There will also be some period during which the brothers won’t be the only ones trying to figure out the nature of “The Darkness”, and there will be others aiming for the same goal, such as angels and demons. All of them will be racing against each other trying to figure out exactly how powerful “The Darkness” is.
The brothers apparently have some sort of protection from the black smoke of “The Darkness”, but something still happened to them causing them to be torn apart for a while before they got back together. So, even though they have some apparent advantage over the mysterious entity, they’re still not perfect in their fight against it, and they will have to be careful.
Misha Collins, who plays the role of Castriel in the show, has been teasing that Sam and Dean are going to be dealing with “The Darkness” without the help of Castriel, because he will be stuck under the attack dog spell placed on him by Rowenna in the season finale. We don’t know if this means that his character will be missing for the entire season, or if it will be something temporary, but we’re definitely going to see a few seasons without him.
