Supercell Announces the October 2016 Balancing and Update Details For Clash of Clans, P.E.K.K.A No Longer Takes 2x Damage from Teslas!

Then team at Clash of Clans approaches the issues of game balance by analyzing the attack statistics and gameplay changes in play testing. According to the team, the design values indicate that the game is kept fun and interesting by regular balancing updates. Supercell is introducing a sizable bout of balancing modifications.

At the same time, they are continuing to develop the gameplay in Town Hall 11 while easing some high-level upgrades and boosting underperforming units. The team had a look at war loot rules and war XP during Clan Wars. There is a new Wizard Level 7.

The hit points and damage of Level 6 wizards have been increased, and moreover, on a massive change, the Level 6 Wizard is now available at Town Hall 9. The high-level wizards are finally deciding to show up in style.

With the availability of Level 6 wizards in Town Hall 9, TH9 players can now enjoy some extra firepower. Hidden Tesla Level 9 has been introduced in Town Hall 11. On top of that, Hidden Teslas will no more inflict ‘2x damage’ to P.E.K.K.A units.

With the layouts emphasizing on more hardcore Tesla-core layouts, the P.E.K.K.A gameplays have been quite underwhelming. With the removal of 2x damage, the unit can gain some much-needed weight while making room for another Tesla level as well.

Town Hall 11 will now have Baby Dragon Level 5. Baby Dragon Level 4 has now been introduced in Town Hall 10. It is a late game troop, and they should be upgraded earlier to achieve a proper power level. Damage has been increased for mortar levels 8 and 9.

In due course of time, the mortar fell behind in the defensive curve. A boost has been provided to the later levels, and with the presence of the new Mortar Level 10, this defensive unit has gained back its punch. The Skeleton Spells will spawn a lot more Skeletons, but it will take place over a longer time.

The rebalanced spell now much better at everything it did before. A single spell-shot will bring out 26 skeletons. The cloned troops introduced by Clone Spells will stay for a much longer time on the battlefield. The well-placed clones will now have a boosted lifespan. The hit points for Bowlers have been decreased.

The skillful attackers tend to keep the Bowlers away from harm. Their highly-effective reach has been balanced by this new update. The other Town Hall 11 upgrades include an X-Bow Level 5, a Dragon Level 6 and 25 extra wall pieces.

Upgrade discounts have been introduced for Wizard 6, Archer Tower 11-13, Cannon 12-13, Dragon 3-5, Baby Dragon (all levels), Mortar 8-9, Hidden Tesla 5-8, Wizard Tower 7-8 and X-Bow 2-4. Supercell has introduced some Clan Wars balancing as well.

Even after failing an attack, you can now earn a partial War Win Bonus. When you attack lower town halls, the war wins bonus is no longer reduced. The more difficult targets in Clan Wars are worth more XP, as much as a maximum of 10XP.
