Super Smash Bros 4 Version 1.0.3 Hides Stats in Conquest Mode, Gamers Get Ready For Nintendo 3DS National Championship!

A few days after the release of Super Smash Bros 4 for the Nintendo 3DS, a brand new mode called ‘Conquest’ was made available. In this mode, different character match-ups run for certain duration. During that period, if you want to play as one of the characters in the online matches, it will increase its usage percentage.

During the end, the character that has the highest percentage will generate rewards for the players who picked it. This mode has given rise to a particular issue because the percentages are always visible, hence gamers will choose a character with a commanding lead. In order to make ‘Conquest’ fairer, the makers have issued patch version1.0.3. With this update, a few balancing tweaks have been introduced while the results are kept hidden till an event is over. Head over to NeoGAF in order to take a look at a fixed Conquest screen.

In the meantime, Super Smash Bros 4 for Nintendo 3DS seems to be doing well. Nintendo’s financial highlights have revealed that in the 6-month period leading up to September ’14, around 3.22 million units have been shipped worldwide. The strong performance of this title, coupled with improved Forex rates, Nintendo was able to generate 14.3 billion yen in profits.

It is equivalent to a massive 132 million in US dollars and that too during the first half of the fiscal year. This is a huge leap from the 5.5 million dollars (600 million Yen) that was generated last year, in the same period. The Super Smash Bros 4 fans all over the world have been battling each other out in order to be crowned National Champion 2014.

Qualifying heats took place in selected GAME stores that resulted in the emergence of 32 finalists. 4 each were chosen from the 8 regional Heats. They are now ready to battle it out, once more, for the final time on October 31st 2014. The event will take place at the York Hall in London.
