The latest update to the Nintendo fighting game “Super Smash Bros 4” officially called Version 1.1.5 rolled out on March 16 and it came with a slew of different balance changes, which would make it ideal for gamers to start from zero again, notes Event Hubs.
Other than game balance, the update also brings several major improvements including bug fixes, among other things to ensure better gaming experience.
The patch requires 160MB free space so gamers quite expected that Version 1.1.5 shall bring substantial tweaks and improvements to “Super Smash Bros 4.”
Nintendo posted on its website that it adjusted the game balance and fixed many problems so that gamers can still play the game comfortably.
But gamers should consider that if they download the update data, replay data stored in Version 1.1.4 can no longer be played. So if gamers wanted to play online, they need to download and install the Version 1.1.5.
‘Super Smash Bros 5’ is coming?
The release of the Version 1.1.5 update to “Super Smash Bros 4” actually quashed previous rumors that went around early this month that Nintendo shall no longer release an update to the game because “Super Smash Bros 5” is already on its way for release very soon, notes Yibada.
With the release of the new update, it seems that rumors about “Super Smash Bros 5” are not yet on target for now.
Or it could also be that Version 1.1.5 is going to be the last update to the fighting game and Nintendo will soon be launching the “Super Smash Bros 5.”
However, until the game development company confirms or denies the reports about the next iteration to its popular “Super Smash Bros” fighting game franchise, everything remains speculations at this time.
Is it going to be the last update or not?
In contrast to rumors that “Super Smash Bros 5” is well on its way to being released, there are also reports saying that there will be more patches coming to “Super Smash Bros 4” after Version 1.1.5.
But series creator Masahiro Sakurai, via the Always Nintendo website, indirectly denied those reports when he said that the updates are indeed meant to improve “Super Smash Bros 4” but Version 1.1.5 is going to be the last for the fighting video game.
Prior to Version 1.1.5 released on March 16, Version 1.1.4 was released in February that also came with the last DLC character packs that introduced Bayonetta and Corrin to the game.
Prior to Version 1.1.5, the last character DLCs to “Super Smash Bros 4” came on February 3 when Bayonetta from the same-titled game and Corrin from “Fire Emblem Fates” arrived, initially via Nintendo eShop.
Officially called as the DLC Bundle 6, gamers were able to download the new character DLCs by downloading the version 1.1.4 first. It came out with a price of $15.48 for one platform or one character and $19.88 for both characters.
The release of the final “Super Smash Bros 4” character DLCs came out as a bittersweet feeling for gamers since they also knew that the game shall no longer see any substantial update. Apparently, Nintendo is looking to end things for “Super Smash Bros 4” with a bang.
With that being said, there are now speculations that Nintendo may already be busy working on the development of the “Super Smash Bros 5” which would likely come out in the Nintendo gaming consoles within a few years time.
“Super Smash Bros 4” has been released on the Nintendo Wii U and the 3DS gaming consoles so its successor game will most likely be unveiled in the same platforms, with the possible inclusion of the company’s upcoming gaming platform, the NX.
