‘Super Smash Bros 4’ to Get ‘Super Mario Maker’ as a DLC on September 30!

The popular fighting game “Super Smash Bros 4” will get an extra dose of excitement again with another DLC coming its way on September 30.

But the new content would not be in the form of a new fighting character that the game has been known to release since its official rollout on the Nintendo gaming consoles in April.

Instead, a new stage will be coming as a DLC and what’s even thrilling is that the new content actually just came out as a stand-alone game this month that is currently drawing plenty of excitement among gamers.

“Super Mario Maker” is every bit as good as a game enabling gamers to create their own “Super Mario” levels and Nintendo decided to give it an extra visibility boost by releasing it as a DLC to “Super Smash Bros 4,” details Digital Trends.

Nintendo’s YouTube channel released the footage showing the “Super Mario Maker” on the “Super Smash Bros” and the stage seems to be just as wild as it sounds.

“Super Smash Bros,” just like many of its characters, has stages that are based on other games. The fighting game usually takes the other game’s mechanics in its stage to a new level.

The message that comes with the video says that with so many parts on the layouts, the sky is the limit for stage design which means that the on-screen hand from “Super Mario Maker” appears and builds the stage from scratch at the start of each round, so the layout changes each time one plays.

Parts of the stage are also destroyed during the match, but the screen hand will appear and fix the broken blocks.

Coming to ‘Super Mario’ games

In addition to the “Super Smash Bros 4,” the “Super Mario Maker” will also be coming to four other Nintendo games involving Super Mario including “Super Mario Bros,” “Super Mario Bros 3,” “Super Mario World,” and “New Super Mario Bros.”

The “Super Mario Maker” DLC will come to “Super Smash Bros” on its Nintendo Wii U and 3DS editions but the Japanese gaming company has yet to release its retail price once it hits the market, notes Eurogamer.

The stage generates various designs through the creator toolkit found on the level of the “Super Mario Maker.”

Still ongoing poll

There is currently an ongoing poll on “Super Smash Bros 4” on Nintendo Wii U and 3DS asking gamers on who they think should become the next character for the video game.

The voting is open until October 3 and surprisingly, reports late last month came out that Professor Layton from the “Professor Layton” puzzle games on Nintendo DS and 3DS, will be next character that shall join the roster of fighters in “Super Smash Bros 4.”

Since the game was launched in April, there have been four new characters that came to the game via DLC and they are Mewtwo from “Pokemon,” Lucas from “Mother 3,” Roy from “Fire Emblem,” and Ryu from “Street Fighter.”

Rumors started swirling about Professor Layton becoming the next character fighter for “Super Smash Bros 4” when Christopher Robin Miller, the English voice actor for Professor Layton of the similarly-titled video games came out on the IMDB page of the game for the 3DS and Wii U.

Miller’s name has since been taken down from the Wii U IMDB page, but it still exist on the 3DS page as of end-August.

Subsequently, somebody asked Miller on Twitter if it’s true that Professor Layton was coming to “Super Smash Bros 4” and he confirmed that the report is not true. However, shortly thereafter, he tweeted again another message saying that his body could not contain the hype, insinuating that his puzzle game character may indeed be coming to the game.
