‘Super Mario 3D World’ on Wii U Makes its Return to UK’s Top 40 All-Format Video Game Sales Chart

An incredible ‘Super Mario 64’ mod

Kaze Emanuar, the popular “Mario” game hacker has just churned out his latest accomplishment and it is called “Super Mario 64: Last Impact.”

The “Super Mario 64: Last Impact” is obviously bigger and more ambitious ROM hack, which seems to be in the works for at least a year. In fact, Kaze admitted that he logged in 4,000 hours of work to develop the mod, notes Kotaku.

The mod adds 130 new collectible stars, entirely new areas, enemies/bosses, and 12 new power-ups.

Based on the trailer that was already uploaded by Kaze on YouTube, Mario dons the frog suit, and at one point, he even uses his Paper Mario ability to flatten himself and fall through a grate.

Kaze seems to have taken cool mechanics, characters, and ideas of from all sorts different “Mario” games, and has packaged them into one cohesive world which is why it looks very cool especially to avid “Mario” fans and gamers.

The “Mario” hacker has also showcased some video playlist which shows him playing through some of the levels.

Two of the more preferred among the playlist is a level where the player can go into a giant best, as well as the casino-themed one.

It is very clear that the levels are all elaborate and fleshed out enough that players can see why Kaze would have the audacity to try to improve on an all-time classic. The person is clearly a super fan with deep understanding of what make “Mario” games really enjoyable.
