The one detail that seems a bit worrying to many fans right now is whether the show is going to continue after season 6, or if this is planned as the last entry in the series. After all, Mike’s secret was in the center of the whole premise, so it would be a bit strange to see the show continuing after that.
According to some, turning Mike into a plain, legitimate lawyer would end up transforming this show into a generic legal drama, of which we have far too many on the screen to count.
Of course, “Suits” still has its original premise and the creative ideas of its writers to back it up, but those can only take a production so far if it lacks any real substance in its main premise. Of course, that’s far from the situation with “Suits” in general.
It may very well be that the writers are planning another major twist that will put things back to “normal”, or in other words, create another long-running conflict that everyone will have to work around. But until then, we will most likely see Mike and those around him trying to deal with getting him out of prison, a task that will surely not be a light one despite everyone’s expertise with legal matters and their huge determination.
