Back in Season 5 of the American legal drama TV series “Suits” on the USA Network, Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams, and Rachel Zane, played by Meghan Markle, were already engaged and were also planning their marriage.
However, all their plans went into disarray when Mike Ross pleaded guilty to fraud charges and was sentenced to two years in prison.
They have decided to broke off the engagement while Mike spends time in jail but just before going to prison, he did tell Rachel that they might revisit again the idea of marriage when he gets out.
The first half of “Suits” Season 6 already showed that Mike Ross has completed his two-year sentence and is back as a free man.
Reports have it that the upcoming episode 11 of “Suits” Season 6, which would air on January 25 next year, will see Mike and Rachel possibly getting back together in each other’s arms, reports Jobs & Hire.
Some fans and critics of “Suits” actually describe Mike and Rachel as full of strain that won’t go away because they are going to be back together.
According to a critic, Rachel’s brain has been clouded with her love for Mike for far too long. He also said that it would be an issue for Rachel to be branded as a wife of a convict, who went to prison for being a fake lawyer.
A preview of things to come
Show creator Aaron Korsh, in a recent interview, also teased fans with what is going to happen in the upcoming episode 11 of “Suits” Season 6.
He said that he thinks the first episode of the midseason premiere is a little surprising. Korsh also revealed that Harvey Specter, played by Gabriel Macht, and Louis Litt, played by Rick Hoffman, will both behave as fans would expect them.
But both will also have little dashes of things that the audience would not expect, details the iTech Post.
Korsh said that fans would see some growth in Harvey and his ability to handle things moving forward. But there is going to be a conflict between him and Louis. Donna, played by Sarah Rafferty, is also going to step in and help iron out their differences. Reports also have it that a surprise character will help Donna do that in episode 11 of “Suits” Season 6.
As for Mike, Korsh said that the character is desperately searching for where he’s going to fit next and realizing that even though he’s paid the price and done his time that it’s still something that’s going to get in the way of him accomplishing his dreams now. He can’t really shake the fact that he was sent to prison.
Dealing with Jessica’s departure
The second half of the sixth season of “Suits” on USA Network has been internet fodder since its first half featuring 10 episodes that ended on September 14.
It has been confirmed that the remaining six episodes of Season 6, also referred to as Season 6B, shall air beginning on January 25, 2017.
Over the past couple of weeks, most of the reports online about “Suits” are focused on the departure of actress Gina Torres from the TV series. Torres plays the role of Jessica Pearson, who is a senior partner at Pearson Specter Litt law firm so it was quite a big development for the show.
In fact, it has already overshadowed the prospect of seeing Mike Ross finally pursuing law education to become a full-fledged lawyer and perhaps work for the firm, as espoused by Harvey Specter.
However, it seems that every thunder about “Suits” and its promotions for Season 6B was stolen by reports about the real-life relationship of Prince Harry of England with actress Meghan Markle.
There are reports saying that Prince Harry has visited Meghan Markle while she was filming for “Suits” Season 6.
