The show was renewed for Season 5 as early as August 11 last year and according to USA Network, it shall also have 16 episodes just like its previous season. It was also the network which announced the premiere date of Season 5 during a statement released in May this year.
Fans of the show were actually getting information on Season 5 of “Suits” from the Instagram posts of Patrick J. Adams, who is playing Michael ‘Mike’ Ross in the series, and Sarah Rafferty, who plays Donna Roberta Paulsen..
Even before Season 5 began airing in June, critics believe that Robert Zane will be the biggest threat to Mike Ross’ fraudulent life so having a meatier role for Mr. Zane would really keep the show quite interesting and fans always on the edge of their seats.
Louis already knows Mike’s secret, but it took all of the last six episodes in Season 4 for Mike to build his trust and get everyone involved and working as a cohesive legal team. The momentum carried through to the fifth season.
Still, the gist of “Suits” Season 5 is about unmasking Mike Ross for who he really is. He is like someone who has a big bullseye on his back and the show revolves around how he always avoids getting caught. But evidently, the long arm of the law caught up with him during the 10th episode of Season 5.
