‘Suits’ Season 5 Second Half to See Harvey Standing Possibly Standing as Legal Counsel of Mike Ross!

Much of the previous speculations about the second half of Season 5 of the American legal drama TV series “Suits” on the USA Network were focused on who was the person or persons who ratted out on Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams.

However, the bigger question for the storyline focusing on Mike’s arrest for fraud is who shall be his legal counsel as he goes through the legal wringer.

It seems like the showrunner and producers have already given a hint on who would it be when it recently released a promo of the second half of Season 5 on the TV show’s official Facebook page.

The promo showed Mike being questioned by authorities but he declines to give any reply before he talks to his lawyer. It seems like it would be Harvey Specter, played by Gabriel Macht, who will possibly stand as his legal counsel despite the fact that the latter has already tendered his resignation from the Pearson Specter Litt law office, notes Movie News Guide.

The speculation that Harvey could likely become Mike Ross’ lawyer grew more apparent when the next shot shows Donna, played by Sarah Rafferty, Harvey’s best friend, former secretary, and secret love, seemingly telling him to do all things possible to extricate Mike out of the mess that he is into.

Not going to be easy

But Harvey and Mike would face a rough sailing ahead as Assistant US Attorney General Anita Gibbs, played by Leslie Hope, appears determined to make life difficult for Mike Ross.

The ruthless investigator promises to put away Ross for good and that really puts pressure on the Pearson Specter Litt law firm.

The promo trailer also showed the father of Rachel, played by Meghan Markle, pushing Mike against a wall and warning him that that it is the only chance that he is going to get to save what is left of Mike’s miserable life.

It seems that Rachel’s father is offering Mike a way out of his legal entanglement amid previous speculations that he may actually be the one who spilled the beans on Mike to the authorities.

There are also reports saying that Mike’s safety and freedom could actually depend on Louis Litt who may be willing to help him in his predicament.

“Suits” makes its midseason premiere, after more than four months of winter hiatus, on January 27, and all those burning questions from fans will be answered one by one.

Great conflict

Episode 11 of “Suits” promises of great conflict as viewers saw genius lawyer Mike Ross finally getting caught for fraud and apprehended and detained during the midseason finale.

The biggest cliffhangers for fans of “Suits” are who sold out Mike to the authorities and what is the motive of the squealer or squealers for doing so.

Executive producer Aaron Korsh said that the writers came up with different answers than he did. He also confirmed that the last six episodes of “Suits” Season 5 will disclose the identity of the person who ratted on Mike and what is his or her motive.

Korsh said that there is a long list of people who know Mike’s secret and there are certainly plenty of other people who could have found out and handed him to the authorities even though viewers have never seen that those some other people know.

According to some spoilers for the episode titled “Blowback,” Ross’ arrest for impersonating a real attorney on top of his fraud case will put the future of his law firm in jeopardy.

Fans are likely to be sympathetic towards Ross and the partnership although they know very well that the bogus Harvard graduate is guilty of the accusation.

Based on the synopsis of episode 11, Jessica, played by Gina Torres, and Harvey must figure out how to build a defense for Mike, knowing all too well that their colleague is guilty of fraud.
