‘Suits’ Season 5 Penultimate Episode Hints that Mike Ross is Going to Go Down in the Season Finale!

Episode 15 of Season 5 the American legal drama TV series “Suits” was aired on the USA Network on February 24 and it showed that the partners of Pearson Spectre Litt were put in an unfamiliar position.

For the first time in the show’s five seasons, the legal team of the popular law firm in “Suits” will be awaiting the decision of the jury on the fraud case of Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams, in what Forbes describes as a judgement based on fear.

In the penultimate episode of “Suits” Season 5 titled “Tick Tock,” it showed that fear often leads to calls for actions but those actions still have consequences.

While Louis has previously acted from a place of panic, it never happened before to the likes of Mike, Jessica, or Harvey.

But because they have all just the tiniest doubt that Mike did not absolutely sell his chances at receiving an ounce of reasonable doubt from the jury, they all end up taking actions they would never have done otherwise.

Harvey Spectre, played by Gabriel Macht, pushed to gain a mistrial on the insistence of Jessica because she is too afraid of the outcome of the case. But it seems that Mike has taken the deal and is going to plead guilty.

Mike is going to take the sentence that only puts him in the crosshairs at the end of the day. While fans and viewers of “Suits” would have wanted Mike to extricate himself from the legal entanglement he got himself into, it seems clear from episode 15 that there will be no Hollywood ending for Mike during the Season 5 finale.

The big question is whether Mike will serve time but the case is clearly ending with a guilty plea and no one could have called that.

Deconstruction of Harvey

Season 5 has been about the deconstruction of Harvey Spectre, which was made clear during the first 10 episodes of the current season.

But the storyline has since taken a backseat with the trial of Mike Ross getting started. “Tick Tock” brought back Harvey’s deconstruction right back on the surface.

It was clear from the episode that Harvey was scared, not really of the trial but of the Harvey he has become. He has become afraid of his own evil shadow that must finally come to terms with the fact he is indeed a bully that uses intimidation tactics to get what he wants.

However, Harvey’s story arc is just one of the biggest twists of the episode that only proves that the hit legal drama TV series is not yet done with bringing its viewers the unexpected.

Confirmed for Season 6

Two weeks ago, fans of “Suits” received the biggest news about the TV series when USA Network confirmed that the show has been officially renewed for Season 6.

With the order of Season 6 now official, it means that by this time next year, the producers would have aired over 88 episodes of “Suits,” which puts the show in line for syndication deals, something that is rarely seen on cable these days, notes the Christian Post.

Going back to episode 14 of “Suits” that aired on February 17, fans were taken to the edge of their seats with the start of the trial of Mike Ross.

Titled “Self Defense,” the 14th episode revealed that Louis’ loyalty is clearly with Mike, considering that he was also responsible for the departure of Shiela from the country.

However, Louis seems to have changed tune when Assistant US District Attorney Anita Gibbs, played by Leslie Hope, warned him to tread carefully in his next steps because if not, everything that he has painstakingly worked hard for will go down the drain.

Even when Gibbs offered Louis immunity in exchange for turning against Mike Ross and his colleagues, Louis decided to stick with his co-workers.

But it was also shown during the episode how Louis vented his ire on Harvey when he told him that every single one of them in the law firm is going to jail because of what he did. Louis was, later on, shown listening to Gibbs and her immunity deal in exchange for what he just learned about Harvey and Mike.
