Harvey Spectre! The name brings up the image of a suave, smart and talented lawyer who makes every move possible and easy. Those who are not familiar with the name should watch the series Suits. For those who know and love him, there’s good news!
The legal drama has been renewed for the fifth season. Suits Season 5 was given a go-ahead in August this year. The announcement came shortly before the mid-season finale of Suits Season 4. The remaining episodes are slated to be aired on January next year.
With the show off air, there is much speculation about what is in store. The show ended on quite a few cliff-hangers and fans hope that Suits Season 5 is not the end to this highly popular legal series.
Harvey Spectre, Mike Ross and the gang, made lawyers chic and classy and made courtroom drama interesting and nothing close to dull and tedious. Suits Season 5 will see the important characters of Gabriel Macht as Harvey Spectre and Patrick J. Adams as Mike Ross, returning along with Gina Torres, Rick Hoffman, Meghan Markle and Sarah Rafferty.
Suits Season 4 is also in the news because there are rumours that it will be the directorial debut for Macht. He will direct the last six episodes of Season 5. Patrick J. Adams is expected to direct the 14th episode.
‘Suits’ writer Aaron Korsh answered fan queries on Twitter. He revealed that Suits Season 5 will introduce Harvey Spectre’s brother and mother. Korsh, however, did not reveal which actors were being considered for the two roles. Korsch also said that season 4 will deal with one standalone case in the upcoming final six episodes.
The producers of Suits are tight-lipped about any other revelations that might be dealt with in Suits Season 5. Fans will have to wait until new insights and scoops are let out by the cast members and creators.
Suits is set in a fictional law firm in the bustling New York City. It traces the story of Mike Ross who was a talented student in college, but ends up getting kicked out when he was caught selling answers to a math test. Ross finds himself being interviewed by Harvey Spectre, who was looking for an associate lawyer, preferably Harvard-educated. The two came together and the rest they say is well, history!
There has been no word about the release day for Suits Season 5. It is most likely to be in 2016 since filming has not yet started. Suits airs in the summer slot, when there’s few competitors, and Suits Season 5 is set to follow on similar lines.
