‘Suicide Squad’ New Trailer Along with ‘Wonder Woman’ Snippet to Come Out on January 19

Before “Suicide Squad” hits theaters this August, a new trailer is set to come out. According to the press release of Warner Bros, the newest trailer for “Suicide Squad” will be unveiled on January 19 along with the first footage of “Wonder Woman” on The CW.

The first ever trailer for the anti-superhero film came out during last year’s San Diego ComicCon and it’s about time that fans get another treat from Warner Bros before the movie premieres.

The newest trailer for the highly-anticipated film and a clip from the upcoming film “Wonder Woman” will air during the network’s 30-minute special titled “DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League on The CW,” right after the midseason premiere of “The Flash.”

The network will also have a 30-minute promotional feature on DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” entitled “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow: Their Time is Now” before its series premiere on January 21.

“Chasing Amy” director and a self-confessed comic book fan Kevin Smith has revealed that he has already watched the latest trailer of “Suicide Squad” and it is amazing.

On his podcast, Smith told his “Fatman on Batman” co-host Marc Bernardin that he has seen the latest trailer for the supervillain film a month before its world premiere and says that when people watch it, they will wish for August to come by faster.

Judging by Smith’s comments. Cinema Blend speculates that the latest trailer will be the opposite of the first one.

The first trailer appeared very gloomy and dark and it makes sense that the new one will show the perky side of the upcoming film.

Fortunately for Smith, being an avid comic book fan pays off as he will be hosting one of the DC Comic specials on January 19. Smith will take viewers behind the scenes of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Wonder Woman.”

By the time “Suicide Squad” rolls around the theaters this year, fans already have a good idea of where the DC Extended Universe is headed into.

“Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice” will already have premiered by that time, introducing viewers to several new DC heroes.

Also upcoming films such as “Wonder Woman” and “Aquaman” are probably in the middle of production already.

And while “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be essentially introducing the heroic side of the DC Universe, “Suicide Squad” is equally important in presenting to the viewers its villains.

Written and directed by David Ayer, “Suicide Squad” stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Jared Leto as The Joker, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.

Jay Hernandez, Adam Beach, Karen Fukuhara, and Adewale Akiinuoye-Agbaje also stars as Diablo, Slipknot, Katana, and Killer Croc, respectively.

Although Leto’s take on The Joker will probably blow people’s minds, there’s no joke that Robbie’s Harley Quinn is something to watch out for as well.

Speaking to Cineplex, Robbie recently spoke about her psychotic antagonist character. The 25-year-old actress says that Harley is more than just The Joker’s sidekick. The “About Time” star defines her character as creepy, violent, and crazy.

“The Wolf of Wall Street” actress says that she enjoyed playing the character because Harley lives vicariously and does things that she wouldn’t do in real life.

In the film’s first trailer, The Joker’s girlfriend is seen as scary, zany, and borderline dark. Fans expect that they get a glimpse of Harley’s other side when the second trailer comes out.

Robbie also spoke about reuniting with her “Focus” co-star Will Smith in “Suicide Squad.” She says that she’s very happy that she got to work with Will for two times now. She even quips that she actually placed in some peer-pressure on Smith to take on the Deadshot role.
