Street Fighter V vs. Mortal Kombat X vs. Tekken 7: Battle of the Anime Fighting Games!

Before we knew it, 2015 has rolled in, and there is a lot of action in store for the fans of Anime Fighting games. Speaking of Anime fighting, the top three games that really steal the cake are Street Fighter V, which has yet not received a release date for 2015, Mortal Kombat X, which is set to release on April 14 this year in PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC Consoles. Another game, which will be released for the Arcade systems, is Tekken, which will make its debut in March this year. Which game do you think will rank No.1 from these? Let’s take a look.

To kick start this debate, we would like to bring in Street Fighter V, which has been under the speculation radar for a very long time. There were rumors that Capcom would be introducing an F2P version of SF5, but Ono has denied any such thing time and time again through his social media profiles. Collecting some tidbits from IGN, we found that they have found quite a lot of similarities in the character moves of SF5 and Street Fighter 3. How much of this is true can only be examined after we get our hands on the official demo.

Now, moving on with the debate…

Capcom is in serious need of some likes this time. Over the past years, we have seen critics ravaging Capcom, and the reviews have deteriorated. Capcom seriously needs to pack a punch in Street Fighter 5 this time to get some critical appraisal or things are going to get way out of hand, this year again. Street Fighter IV was decent, but they need to try harder to compete against legacy games like Super Smash Brothers, Tekken and Mortal Kombat X.
In spite of all the criticism Street, Fighter IV was undeniably one of the best games of the last gen consoles but the technology is advancing now, and Capcom needs to keep pace with things.

Street Fighter 5

Taking a look at the Legendary Mortal Kombat series,
This game has been around for a long time now, and even this one has a lot of expectations to fulfill. Keeping in mind, the success of its last installment the fans have lots of anticipation for this game. If you are an MK fan, then you must have already become of some of the dialogs like – “Get over here!”, “You weak, pathetic fool” and “Finish him!” This game will also have some very exciting features as well. There will be an environmental interaction in the fights, and you can use objects in the surroundings as weapons, etc.

Finally, Tekken 7 will again be only on arcade, which is a kind of a letdown, but there is quite an array of features in this game. Do you think it fares a steady chance against Streetfighter V and Mortal Kombat X, which will be released for various consoles? Sound off in the comments section below.

  1. Mortal Kombat is a particular game such as Killer Instict. They obviously are appreciated, but they are not popular internation versus fighting games, like Street Fighter, Tekken, Super Smash Bros., BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma and so on …

So if the question which game between Mortal Kombat X, Street Fighter V and Tekken 7 will sold the most … I can’t answer yet (maybe Street Fighter V if there is no micro transactions and players agree they must buy a PS4 to play the game).

But if the answer is which game will be the most played in tournament I answer Street Fighter V or Tekken 7.

In my opinion Guilty Gear Xrd will be a very very good game too, not to mention SSB on WiiU.
